    Dr. Shoe Auckland CBD

Rose’s is pricey, but you pay for what you get. They can fix almost anything and the service is great. Be warned however, "fixing" your clothes to your exact specifications can be addictive!

Summer body workout

TK is my favourite store to buy a summer dress. I’ve got a sarong from a few years ago that can be worn as a dress. It’s a gorgeous silk print and I love it. I’ve also got two great cotton dresses one in grey marle and one in aubergine that are backless. I get compliments on them all the time. This will be my first port of call when their summer range is in!

The best place to get your eyebrows done is East Day Spa. Instead of waxing they thread which much better! It leaves a crisper more defined eyebrow. I’ve tried a few cheaper places but East Day Spa is the best in my opinion.

This is the first gym I’ve been in New Zealand that is what I’d call a gym and health club. It really is the best gym I’ve been to. The facilities are outstanding, from the tennis courts to the cafe that serves great healthy food. I love going here!

Getting ya decked from the Tip-Top ya can’t forget about stunners. And you need not look any further then here. There really is no other sunglass store that can compete. As well as having all the designer brands Sherry also brings into the country limited edition runs for a select few. And she will give you an honest opinion on what style of glasses would suit your facial structure

There are only two spots I’d personally recommend to get lined up nice & fresh (Keps and New Flava). And the boys at Keps Barbershop are the business.

Ethical Local Fashion

We can only change the way business is done globally if we take responsibility as consumers for supporting those brands that look after our planet. I love the fact that Kate Sylvester is part of the Child Labour Free programme. Her clothes are beautifully tailored and I’m more than happy to pay a good price to know that the clothes I wear are looking after both the people who made them and our planet. Child Labour Free is a NZ-led initiative that’s ensuring responsible fashion becomes the norm around the globe. That’s why I support Kate Sylvester and am proud to wear her label.

    Hailwood
    Newton
Aside from making some of the best t-shirts in New Zealand, Hailwood is one of my favourite local fashion retailers because his designs and work carries the accreditation that every part of his supply chain from fabric sourcing to manufacture is Child Labour Free. He’s one of the New Zealand designers contributing to positive change by supporting this consumer-led movement. Give him love, he deserves our support.

Another local fashion brand leading the way with making a positive impact on this earth, Ruby are part of the pilot programme that was launched at NZ Fashion Week last year by two Kiwi women who have created the Child Labour Free accreditation. Basically by supporting NZ designers who carry this accreditation, you’re choosing to make change in this world through your consumer dollars. Plus, who can go past Ruby’s slick, sassy and totally wearable designs.

From the moment Marc Moore first debuted Stolen Girlfriends Club clothing, I fell in love. His prints are genius - my favourite culminating in last season’s show-stopping datura print. Trippy, clever and hip as all get out, this dress turns heads every time. Pretty cool then that Stolen Girlfriends Club are also Child Labour Free accredited, meaning every time you spend your dollars here, you’re creating positive change in the world.

    Zambesi Britomart
    Auckland Central
I’ve coveted Zambesi forever and am finally at a stage in my life where I can justify the investment in their fine clothing. Lucky then that these local designers also carry the mark of Child Labour Free - meaning every new season piece I indulge in is a vote for a better world.

    Cue Queen Street
    Auckland Central
Cue is my go-to for work clothes. Stylish, trendy, cute – yet professional. Because I work in a creative office, I can get away with most outfits as long as they’re chic. But Cue also sells staples like pencil skirts and blazers. They’re a bit pricey but the clothes are great quality.

I just love this shop. It always smells like freshly-baked cookies when you walk in the door (thanks to the Glasshouse candles, which you can also buy here!) and everything is just so girly and cute and irresistible. It’s purely a pyjama shop, but considering any time I’m lounging around the house I’m always in sweats or pyjamas, I have quite a collection in my wardrobe. This shop will make you want to host a pyjama party for the first time since you were 12 years old.

This is a Canadian shop (woop woop!) that is slowly taking over the world. Even if you’ve never been to Lululemon, you’re probably familiar with the little ohm-looking logo adorning every second person you see in your spin class. Lululemon sells AH-MAZING workout clothes. They are expensive, but the quality is unparalleled. I’ve had a pair of their long yoga pants since early university days (when I literally wore them every single day to class) and they still look brand new.

Country Road has a great mix of casual, work and formal-wear. Everything is super on trend and their window displays always lure me inside. They have great, comfy ballet flats that will last ages. If you see something you love but can’t afford, hold tight and you’ll always find it on sale a couple of months later.

What women’s clothing shop list would be complete without a shoe store? Mi Piaci has great shoes in every style. I have a pair of knee-high winter boots from here that I absolutely adore and wear almost every single day in the winter. They literally go with everything! The shoes are a bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it in quality.
