Mall-Aholic
- 113Westfield St LukesSt LukesA centrally located mall that is easy to navigate through. One of my favourite shops is K-Mart and this one at St Lukes will not disappoint. It’s huge with almost anything you can think of, best of all at affordable prices. My second fav is Farmers. Things are slightly more expensive than K-Mart but have better brands and quality. The make-up and perfume section is where I will be lost for hours. I also love going back and forth from Ruby Shoes & Platypus Shoes. Something dainty and cute from Ruby Shoes then right opposite Ruby on the ground floor of the mall, cool, retro sneakers from Platypus! I suggest starting from ground floor and work your way up to the top of the mall!
- 23Atrium on Elliot MallAuckland CentralThere are so many cute little boutique stores with clothes, accessories and makeup from Asia. I like how most stores only stock a limited amount of the clothing designs so that you don’t bump into anyone else wearing the same outfit! If you want to get something uniquely different or "Kawaii" (aka cute in Japanese) the options are endless. Feel the full asian experience and grab lunch at one of the cheap eats from the food court which tastes very authentic! Similar to what you would get at a night market in South East Asia.
- 327Sylvia Park Shopping CentreSylvia ParkA very modern and contemporary mall! The electronics stores here are amaaze! There is a huge Dick Smith and cool Sony store which has a range of gadgets / tech products to choose from. This means you could take your partner shopping and he wont mind coming along. He could spend ages gadget shopping while you check out all the great stores like Foreever New and Wild Pair. Sylivia Park Mall is a great place for a date too. Spend shopping during the day, take a break and have lunch in one of the nice outdoor restaurants e.g Wagamama then top off with a movie at the Hoyts Movie complex.
- 42Westfield WestCityHendersonWest is best for bargains. You will be amazed at what deals you will get here. I come out here if I want a affordable outfit to add to my wardrobe. I start from the ground floor where TEMPT is and browse through the sales rack (there’s always a sales rack), then head to secound floor to the huge Valley Girl store which has an awesome selection of clothes and accessories for any occasion. You can find tops or bottoms for less than $10 sometimes. To match the outfit I’ll pop in to Number One Shoe Warehouse to find the perfect pair of shoes. I have bought two outfits here for less than $100 many times. Oh also, stop in to Warehouse where you can ALWAYS get a bargain.
