Volstead Craft Beer & Cocktail Lounge

Awesome place to catch up with someone for a drink. Beautiful dim lighting with couches for cosy seating. I'm not normally a fan of cider, but had their special Apple Crumble Cider and it was beautiful!

I've had the pleasure of visiting the Volstead only once - however in the interest of making this list truly representative and well rounded it had to be included. If I were to use on word to sum this place up it's character. Few bars in New Zealand have as much quirky old-school personality as the Volstead. With it's awesome murals, plush leather couches and old Persian rugs you feel like you've been transported back in time to some sort of speakeasy bar. Either way the beers awesome with 20 craft brews on tap including 8 hand pulled - perhaps the largest selection of Hand pulled taps in the country. These taps will give your beers a creamier, fuller mouthful making them all the more quaffable and delicious. Cheers Volstead for serving the good stuff!
