"This place is among the best Mexican I have had. I love their different tacos and dishes, they're unique and reasonably priced. Great for sharing with a group of friends, and absolutely love the decor."

"The Golden Dawn is one of my favourite places to catch up with friends for a casual meal and a drink. The food is delicious and are shared plates and there is a great selection of beer and cider on tap. Inside the atmosphere is warm and intimate for smaller groups and outside there are large tables for more substantial gatherings. The staff are friendly and there is always good music playing."
498 New North Road, Kingsland, Auckland 1021
"This place is great if you want somewhere casual to go for an affordable beer and a burger. They do really good chips with aioli which I like to pair with a Mac’s cider! Big outdoor space to sit in or if it’s cold out, the inside is always toasty warm! Big food for a big appetitie at this one!"
"If you’re looking for a spot to enjoy a few lazy beers in Kingsland, I would recommend Neighbourhood Brewbar. There is a large courtyard in the front and the back windows let in a generous smattering of sunlight. The music is laidback, the beer cold and the fit out spacious. Great White is my choice of what they have on tap, but I guess that all comes down to personal preference."

"I ended up here on a sunny Sunday avo meeting some friends for a drink to debrief about the night before’s antics. Some DJs (Team Navajo) were playing tunes…there was a cruise liner parked up a stones throw from where we were sitting..cheap bloody mary’s …it was just good vibes."
"Tyler Street Garage has arguably the best rooftop terrace in the central city. Small but perfectly formed, with lots of cushy seating, a handy bar and stunning views over the docks. Love coming here on sunny afternoons for a slice of pizza and a crisp glass of white."

"Weekend nights can get a bit nuts at Snapdragon, but swing by on a weeknight or afternoon and it's a classy, chilled place to hang out - not always easy to find in the Viaduct! Take your pick of the outdoor seating or cosy couches inside and settle in. Also, they do curly fries!"
"Love the setting of snapdragon. So awesome to be able to look out to the beautiful viaduct, while eating amazing food, and drinking good wine. Love coming here with my husband, great after work spot!"
150 Ponsonby Road, Ponsonby, Auckland
"It's a bit of a ritual, it's a ritual for many SPQR lovers. Espresso Martinis here are still the best in Auckland. I have tried and tried to find an equal... Still no love! "
"Whenever I walk past this place everyone dining here always looks so chilled out and happy (and beautiful, is that a Ponsonby thing?) and the food looks amaze."

31 Galway Street, Auckland Central, Auckland
"This spot is the perfect place to start a night out if in a Large group I suggest ordering a jug of Sangria Blood orange it goes a long way and taste’s great. If you are not a fan there is a large choice of alcohol to choose from."

"Kings Arms is hands down my favorite live music venue in Auckland! They always have great bands, there's always a sweet mosh pit/dance floor going on, and the outdoor area out back is great to chill out in and have a smoke (if that's what you're in to). Also - The bar staff always seem to have a great sense of humor - which I tend to notice most when they're run off their feet trying to serve handfuls of people at the same time! "
"In my opinion the best place to watch live music in Auckland. Depending on the band, you might need to get in quick for tickets - the place hosts some big international acts that would normally play in venues 3 or 4 times the size. Mark the sound engineer knows the room like he knows his mother - well - so you’re ears are treated. Don’t be fooled by the seedy old men out front of the sports bar side of this place, they’re friendly."
