Tuesday night pub quiz with Reuben is amazing fun. Food is good. Nice refurb.

    This is a great cozy place to grab a drink by the beach, and on Wednesday nights they do a delicious sirloin steak for only $10 dollars! The perfect place for a casual date or a get together with friends.

      There is quite a large English expat community in the East Coast Bays, and unsurprisingly, there'a a fair few pubs. For a traditional taste of England, try out Speakers Corner in Browns Bay. There's traditional English ales on tap, and a range of great value pub food on offer.

        Speaker's is a very nice little place that is situated right in front of the beach. Atmosphere is very warm and friendly and it was great watching the RWC 2011 with a bunch of mates here. 

          The first pub I visited in NZ and have been back many times since.  Just like a good English pub but with fantastic views.  Great atmosphere, love the decor, just like being back home.  Good quiz night on Tuesdays.  Wide range of English drinks.  The menu has changed a few times in last couple of years but has remained tasty and affordable - my only gripe, where has the guiness pie and mushy peas meal gone?!!!

            What a neat little English pub!!! Been here many a time and i love the atmosphere, this is what i picture English pubs to be like. The food has good portion sizes for the price and its not too bad either.   Its a really relaxed pub and in a great location - right opposite the beach!! :) perfect for going for a walk after your  meal.

              I liked the lamb shank and the hot cider.I enjoyed sitting outside with the dog and enjoying my meal and drink.

                Love the English beer they have on tap  plus the quiz night.. food not bad either
