Shadows Bar

Shadows is the official bar of The University of Auckland. All that really needs to be said about this place is: student bar. Sums it up nicely. But I shall elaborate for you…. there’s always something going on here whether it be karaoke night, quiz night, special guest djs, up and coming bands or just great drink specials there is something for every student’s tastes. I have had a few amazing nights at this place, but it’s never going to be as good as the glory days. Nowadays it is filled with fresh faced first years who make me feel like a mature student. Also, the last time I was in here catching up with a friend a guy spewed onto his table. Not the nicest of all my experiences but hilarious to laugh at him nonetheless.

Held an event here a few months back. Great communication with the manager- sorting out space, music, drink specials etc. We had the extension to our selves and were able to go back and forth between the bar to get our drinks. Nice space- tables + couches. Great finger food- easy to order. Everyone had a good night. Would love to hold another event here

I really like this place and they always have good prices...and nice music and comfy seats hehe :D Its totally a good place to chill! 

They always charge me around $10 for my favourite drink which ranges from $14 to $18 anywhere else, absolutely love going here, cheap drinks :p Best Uni bar. Atmosphere is amazing and the staff are always great :)
