Lots of beer to choose from.

Awesome spot to be by the sea but still get that downtown vibe. This place is always busy, a real safe/solid place to go for a coupley drinks with some buddies and your work mates.

Want to try

Probably my favourite of the lot, this place is located in Britomart amongst all the other swanky bars and what not so it is good to come here if you don’t want to stay in one place the whole night and mix it up a bit as the others are in a very close proximity. The dance floor here is big but gets very crowded still, and if you are thinking you can escape to the bar then it is probably worse there, but personally I prefer a place to be crowded rather than desolate. Love the crowd here, it’s a little bit older so you aren’t dealing with 18 year olds.

Such a cool bar, with its upside down lamps and library decor. It’s a great location in Britomart, has fun music, good food and lots of space for dancing or just hanging out with some drinks.

I love the inside of this place. It’s almost like being in a crazy library, with the bookshelves, and the lamps hanging upside down from the ceiling. If you love Mac’s like I do, this is the perfect place to have a few drinks. Best to eat first though, as the food’s a bit pricy.

Big and pumping with the after work drinks crowd

Great place to go for drinks!

Oh no, those ARE lampshades on the ceiling. No wait, I am drunk. The Mac's beer range is so good. It means you don’t have to drink the same boring beer all night.

A wonderful place to sit, inside or outside, with a pint and some friends. All Mac's beers on tap, as well as a changing cider usually. nice staff, close to buses, trains and parking. Close to the Viaduct, without being around all those annoying teenagers. Great for late twenties to early thirties crowd.
