With a cozy fire and large outdoor playground, Fernielea has everything you need. On the Fernielea menu you'll find all-day breakfast and lunch meals ranging from eggs benedict to the perfect calamari. If you only have the time for a quick stop-by you can still enjoy the home-made pies or freshly made sweets! Friday night at Fernielea is wood fire pizza night, while the children play on the playground you can sit back by the fire and unwind. The staff are friendly and efficient making this cafe the perfect family spot!
Fernielea is the cozy, easy atmosphere I crave on mornings that arrive too soon. It’s always warm inside, the coffee’s always good, the food always comforting. There’s mince on toast if you are so inclined. I love the look of the brunch menu - fluffy frittatas, pancakes and cowboy baked beans. The gently coated parmesan chicken is memorable with its sweet honey ginger dressing. It’s often crowded here but the staff are awesome at making sure everyone’s looked after. And everyone is, down to the smallest, with plenty of toys and play equipment to keep the little tykes happy. And that makes everyone happy. I hear there’s now a wood fired pizza menu and other dinner offerings. But personally, I can’t go past Sunday brunch.
We loved this place. Our two girls, aged 2 and 4, had a great time. Loved the food and sat outside under the tree, in plain sight of the sand pit, swings, slide and trampoline. Staff were friendly even though it was busy. Forward didn't all come out at the same time, but we didn't mind. Great place to relax and enjoy a coffee and delicious food without the stress of having to"control" your children. Thanks Fernielea.
