If you’re hungry this is where you come huge bowl of soup delivered before you even ask for a drink!

You simply wont regret coming to this place if you are a fan of Asian cuisine. This is a must visit for any self-respecting foodie as the meals here are lip smacking good. The spicy noodles with beef was my dinner for the night and it went down so well and left my lips tingling ever so pleasantly with the spice leftover. Absolutely wonderful food at a great price. Simple as that! No frills just great service as well.

Always leave this place with a smile on my face. The dishes here are very nice and freshly prepared. This place tends to get busy on Friday nights but you still shouldn’t have a problem getting a table.

We've visited Hansan in Newmarket many times and it's always a consistent level of food and service. It was a cheap feed when we started coming a few years back with 2 of us eating for $19.80 but as they do, the prices have done up but it's still good value. They are children friendly with high chairs and as they bring the food out quickly that's another plus if you take kids. Faves are pan fried chicken and lemongrass and chicken curry.

The menu is divided up into sections (chicken, pork etc) and so is easy to order from. I have to say while we have been many many time our choice usually comes from just 3 dishes - chicken curry on rice, pan friend lemongrass chicken on rice and C09 (I forget the name) - 3 quite different but delicious dishes. The service is fast and the portion sizes are decent - it's a good cheap eat and worth a visit

I have had mixed experiences here- Have been about 5 times and mostly have been very impressed. Quick, fresh, cheap food and free green tea. Only things that are disappointing is that there is NO vegetarian options, we went with a vege friend recently and they(to their credit) stir fried some vegies on rice for her but they were coated it  a whiteish gel which was not tasty at all. The other disappointing factor is that service is patchy, sometimes we have had to wait untill after the meal for our tea(when requested at the beginning of the meal) and if you are going there for BYO, there is usually a wait on recieving wine glasses.

On a tight budget and still want to eat out- Hansen Vietnamese Restaurant is the place for you. Quick fast service and good value for money. No a very vast menu but the food was tasty. The Vietnamese chicken curry and the beef skewers are worth ordering. The spare ribs were ok. They have 3 branches in Auckland and the place fills up fast after 7pm.

Always a favourite place for dinner, it’s cheap, tasty, fast n good service n BYO!! mains are around $12 - stir fried chicken on vermicelli is a goodie, the springs rolls as an entree are a must too! it’s always busy do if u have a big group it pays to make a booking! good parking around but can scarce during peak times :)

The food at Hansan isn't particularly authentic Vietnamese, but then, you can't find that anywhere at all in this city. But what it is is very tasty, generous in its use of fresh herbs and fresh chilli and in the portion sizes, and extremely good value at around $9-15 for mains. The pho at Hansan uses more fresh herbs than most other Vietnamese places, which in my mind makes it one of the best. Great place to take kids as the food comes out quickly and they have plenty of high chairs, and a whole tub of chopsticks on the table to provide hours of entertainment...

Not authentic at all and pretty sure they use MSG but it’s cheap fast stays open till quite late and the chicken curry with rice is good! Or healthier choice is anything on vermicelli noodles and salad so good range
