"Hansan New Market is very unique. It’s hidden away location midway down Nuffield street is deceptive. From the outside it looks plain and simple although inside the food speaks for itself. Authentic Vietnamese flavours with complimentary green tea, excellent range of choices all barely over $10. For a large, filling, surprisingly healthy meal at a very reasonable price in new market it is hard to beat Hansan. I definitely recommend it as a great place to eat with friends or even a cheap date."

"This is one of my and my boyfriends favourite ever spots. The food is delish! Cheap and large portion sizes. Such a huge array of different dishes. My fav is the lemon grass chicken on rice or the vietnamese pancake - you need two people to eat that! So good."

"I love Vietnamese food and this restaurant will be tough to beat. Amazing people. So friendly and so helpful. Heaps of good. Good quiet night out."
"My favorite comfort food! Their noodles soup is tasty and not that expensive although they have raised their prices quite a bit of late."
775 New North Road, Mt Albert, Auckland 1025
"You’re not really with the times if you don’t have gluten free stuff. These cookies were also delicious which made me happy"
"The best Vietnamese food and really good coffee, super friendly staff and opposite Rocket Park - what more do you need?"

"This restaurant has given me a good impression of valuable and quality meal that I have never found out before. Hope you guys can come to join and taste it. :)"
" I went with my family tonight to JK Restaurant (this is their name now and not Pho Le) and all of us enjoyed our meals. Will definitely come back."
26C Delta Avenue, New Lynn, Auckland 600
"Love this place. BYO. Cheap. And when I say cheap I mean it. Literally feeds two grown people for $10 each. But it’s amazing and so fresh."
" Had a lovely night out with friends, and got the rice noodle lemon chicken soup which was delicious on the day. Had the left overs for lunch, or thought I would, but there is something foul about storing this overnight. Definitely eat it all on the day."
" Looking back I have been going to this joint for 7 years! Thats because it is honestly good; hey it's no cafe Hanoi on the inside but you put that aside when you are only paying $11 for a main. The staff are friendly and you NEVER wait more than 10mins for your meals; the kitchen is a slick and fast operation and very consistent. The Wonton soup will sooth any hangover.... Promise."
15 Princes Street, Otahuhu, Auckland
"You are bound to tingle your taste buds there with a huge selection of Vietnamese food with authentic tastes. The decor might not be the best but it will be the best bang for your buck."
105/40 Beach Road, Auckland Central, Auckland 1010
" $11 for lemongrass prawns with fried noodles. Wait, what? Absolutely delicious and served by smily happy people - I felt like I was back in Southeast Asia for a lunch-time. Diddy mao!"
" I really like these vietnamese sandwiches on french baguets. They are quite unusual at first, if you are unfamiliar with vietnamese cuisine, as it is something of a flavour/texture mash up. They are also affordable. They also make rice paper rolls which are quite a treat for if you are on a diet. two thumbs up!"
22-24 Kitchener Street, Auckland Central, Auckland
"Lately I've been really craving Vietnamese food, so I guess what better place to go then then famous Hansan. I ordered the lemon grass pork alongside egg noodles in hot soup. The lemon grass infused pork was incredibly flavorsome, however it was slightly chewy and a tad bit on the oily side but fat is flavour isn't it?! The egg noodles were cooked perfectly soaked in hot broth perfect for winter. The portions were great, definitely a filling meal."
"Whatever kind of mood you're in - sad, happy, angry, or hangry (the worst) - you'll only feel much better once you're seated with a steaming bowl of fragrant pho at Hansan. To borrow from that cheesy series of books from the '90s, it's chicken pho for the soul. Choose any of the varieties of pho (rice noodles are better than egg noodles), load up your bowl with crunchy mung beans, your choice of condiments for level of spiciness, and dig in. Your life will seem a whole lot better afterwards. Just don't get chilli oil in your eye, because that ish burns."
2 Surrey Crescent, Grey Lynn, Auckland
"Absolutely delicious, thoughtful food. I came here with two of my girlfriends and was immediately charmed. Great service, terrific food - stoked to have discovered this place. The pork hot pot was the most delicious thing I have tasted in a long, long time. I will be back again."
"This is my new favourite lunch destination. Everything I’ve had from here is fantastic – the pork hot pot in particular is indescribably delicious. The fried squid was cooked perfectly and comes with a fantastic lemon sauce, and all varieties of spring rolls are worth a try. Plus, the owner is knowledgeable and helpful and the service in general is very good."

"Love asian restos! Here we are, my bro and sis im d guy at d right side! Great service and food! Whats not to love?"
" I stopped by Sapa after reading a recommendation on Localist. I was not disappointed as the food was amazing! I had the classic lemongrass chicken on rice and it arrived on a large plate with very generous portions. The chicken was juicy on the inside, and lightly crisp on the outside. The best part was that it was under $10 so absolutely spot on in terms of value for money. I've come back here multiple times."
"After hearing that place was good, we stopped in on the way home last Saturday night. We didn’t have a booking but that was no trouble (however the place was pretty busy both with done in and take away). The four of us ordered; the fresh summer rolls, and the chicken hot and spice soup - both really yummy, full of flavor! For mains we had the beef onion mushroom dish, the spicy chicken curry and the chicken fried rice. All really tasty. We were really impressed and with so much food we ended up with a doggy bag!! All for just over $70, including drinks :) perfect!!"

" Can you be authentic and Pho at the same time? This place manages, and it's as cheap as whatever the Vietnamese equivalent of chips is. Four us shared spring rolls then had a main each (plus two soft drinks - it isn't licensed) for $69 all up. Bonus: this just-off-K Road restaurant features a sharps disposal bin in the toilet, so offers everything you need for an authentic chase of the dragon between courses."
