"This is such a cool shop! Better if you’re rich, but even the monetarily challenged like me can find something reasonable… or at least it’s great fun to browse. I went on a Sunday and they had samples out of just about everything. Perfect place to buy fancy chocolates (try cudie catanies, holy goodness!!) or the ingredients for a posh dinner party."
"Sabato is a long-standing institution for Auckland foodies! And with good reason! They have a great selection of specialist pastas, cheeses and cooking ingredients, like saffron and squid ink and truffle. Always have tasters on offer to sweeten your visit and the staff are really friendly!"

"It was with a heavy heart that I farewelled season three of Game of Thrones. To combat the post season depression the girlfriend and I enrolled ourselves into a cheese making course ($60 including the cheese making kit which was worth $40) at Cook the Books. Over the course of the evening nine cheese beginners of us learnt the art of making halloumi, ricotta and feta in the shop's demonstration kitchen. The actual process was easier than I thought and I'm looking forward to trying it at home. Post-cheese making we all sat down and enjoyed the fruits of our labour in the form of a grilled halloumi salad with a few cheeky wines. All in all it was a really enjoyable experience. I'm going to put this out there, cheese making might be perhaps a better time than watching Game of Thrones. "
"Amazing book shop. Unbelievable range of gorgeous books. Really interesting and unusual evening classes also. Highly recommend!"
"Modern cookbooks, with their glossy pages and beautiful photography are extremely seductive and Cook the Books have an amazing selection to wet your appetite. Before you fall in to the never ending world of food blogs, take a visit to Cook the Books and check out what they have on offer. There is no denying that the sign of a well used cookbook is its pages splattered with batter and curry sauce, and if you are anything like me I’d hate to see your laptop screen. Somethings just don’t translate well on a screen and cookbooks are something to pass down through the generations. Stop in find your next family favourite. Word of advice, this is probably not the best place to visit if you are hungry"

"Popped in last week for just a piping nozzle and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, asked so many questions and received outstanding service. Best quality items for longevity too."
" I LOVE Milly's Kitchen ! What an awesome place - it is THE place to come for all your Kitchen needs ! The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about all things to do with the kitchen. LOVE the cool utensils and bits & bobs that you wouldn't find anywhere else. Love the ingredients that you source in for your shop. What an awesome place !"
" This larger version of the Milly's store is very overwhelming but in a good way. There is so much stock to look at and a huge demonstrator kitchen where classes occur. Only thing is due to its larger size and somewhat industrial nature it does not have the same lovely homely feel that the ponsonby store does. "

"Great sushi, this treat is only available on Mondays but Sachie runs fun cooking classes so you can learn to do your own!"
"Very fun environment for a cooking class with your friends. Take your own wine and pay a corkage, or purchase wine there. Learn how to make some authentic Asian dishes and compete in groups to see who made the tastiest dish. Eating your creations is the best part! Conveniently located in Parnell, its a great way to start the night."

"1 Hour - $65 1.5 Hours - $85 Experience the beautiful Reiki energy. Reiki is a Japanese art of energetic healing to promote health, happiness and wellbeing. It is an effective technique for stress reduction and relaxation and promotes healing. It enables the transference of Universal Healing Energy channelled through the therapist’s hands. The client remains fully clothed and warm under a blanket while the Reiki therapist's hands are placed on or just above many areas of the body, concentrating on the 7 chakras and areas of imbalance, to help restore the vital energy. The treatment procedure is very gentle, soothing and non-invasive and feels like a wonderful warm radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki does not act solely on a physical level, but is holistic in its effect. It will address the entire spectrum of influences on an ailment, including mental and emotional issues, thus enabling many beneficial effects. Reiki healing complements all types of medicine and everybody can benefit from it. It is beneficial to the health of women (even pregnant), men, children and animals and does not require any effort or belief from the client. "
" Wendy is very easy to talk with and has a passion for caring about people and it shows. Really good to have someone who knows more about your body than you do and shares this with you and puts everything in easy to understand language, but its up to you to change your lifestyle with correct nutrition, balancing and generally making sure your body has every chance to be in full optimum health. Why not live full of energy, and bounce and enjoy life to the full. Thanks Wendy really appreciate you putting me and my body straight. Also my grandson, he's making leaps and bounds ahead. thank you"

"If you’re fond of cooking beautiful meals for mates then this place will help you take things to the next level, with cookery courses polishing your skills in all manner of cuisines. It’s on the spacious side too, so makes for a great place to go as a group and really get your taste buds tingling."
" We were looking for idea's for a venue to host a 'kitchen tea' for a brides hen party. Loving Masterchef like we do, someone suggested got to Main Course. They have a great web site which give you lots of options. No pricing on the website so I contacted them for the info. We would've loved to try the Office Daze which are "cook offs" between different teams just like the telly! When the pricing came through, sadly it was out of our budget. Never mind, its an amazing place I would love to experience."

"We went to Al Dente for a team-building day. What a great day! They served great Italian coffee and homemade biscuits to start with, then straight into it. Raffaela is an awesome hostess and together with Stephanie they taught us how to make ravioli and tagliatelle from scratch, as well as two really, really good versions of tiramisu. Once we'd made the ravioli, there was time to sample an Italian wine or 3 whilst they cooked it all for us, then we all sat down to enjoy the fruits of our labours. Lovely location too. Highly recommended!"

"I went to pilates classes a couple of years ago and since then have been receiving emails letting me know what classes are on. Decided to go and try some yoga classes this year. Had my first class last Wednesday and I am so pleased that I decided to join up. Great instructor, very inspirational! She gave clear instructions and individual help if needed. Looking forward to my Wednesday night classes:) $15 a class for 1 1/2 hr class - excellent value!"
