I always come here to get my warrants done here and have never felt dissapointed. I never feel like they are trying to fail me just to get me to pay money to get more things done. The staff are friendly and the lines are never too long. There is also plenty of readingmaterial in the waiting room while your car is getting seen to.
Took my new car to VTNZ for a 'proper' warrant, wanting to ensure it was safe and sound for chauffering my little one around in. I'd never actually been to VTNZ before but found the system to be very quick and easy; park your car in the queue (luckily there wasn't one when I went just before lunch), pop inside and fill out the paperwork, pay and wait. I also purchased a 'Warrant Plus' check, which was a once-over of the car to ensure there were no leaks, the fluid levels were appropriate and that nothing was seriously wrong. Within half an hour my car was back, ready for me to hop in and drive off. Unfortunately it failed, but the gentleman who undertook the warrant was very kind and friendly and explained, in 'girl language', what part was required, why, how much it would cost to buy, and how much I could expect a mechanic to charge for the repair. Thanks to his helpful information I was able to go straight to Repco, purchase the part, and then drop the car into a mechanic for fitting. I was back at VTNZ before the end of the day, into the recheck lane, where a different but equally friendly guy just told me to jump in the back of the car for the quick recheck so I didn't have to unload my baby from her carseat. Within 2 minutes the part had been checked, new warrant sticker placed on the window and we were driving off in our newly legal car. I love the fact that VTNZ are impartial. They have no vested interest in failing the car as they do not carry out repair works. I also feel confident knowing I am driving my precious cargo around in an adequately checked car.
