Six days a week Verrans Espresso & Food serve up great tasting coffee and food.

The mushroom risotto cake is a must try off the menu. It comes with salmon and hollandaise sauce on a poached egg accompanied by leafy greens and tender green beans - simply delicious.

They're also child friendly and whip up a great fluffy complete with coloured sprinkles, chocolate dust, lots of mini marshmallows and a chocolate fish on the side for free!

Nice sunny little spot, with a warm atmosphere and good food and really nice Ice Coffees.

    A longtime North Shore local told me about this awesome little spot in Birkdale that serves up some of the finest espresso in town. The coffee was beautifully smooth and there's a great little nook upstairs where you can sit in the sun and see the garden. They do a tasty breakfast and, as the weather gets colder, this is an excellent stop for homemade soup. It's also a great spot to take kids because there's even a box of kids toys inside. Choice as!

        Nice atmosphere, great service, good food

          A 10 minute stroll from home and I'm there. Great coffee, friendly staff and there's no problem with being alone and taking your time over your coffee (with or without food).  A busy hub with people coming and going - lovely and warm in winter but come summer or a fine day check out the deck - it's bigger than front of house would suggest. It's great having so close a cafe like this.

                I love coming to Verrans, it's a short walk from home and always has great coffee and great service. It's kid friendly, and they have really nice views out to the Waitakere ranges from the back deck. A superb local favourite!

                  Great coffee, beautiful fresh food. The omelette is the best I've had. Lovely, friendly staff, will definitely make this a regular brunch spot!
