Umiya Sushi

Eating in town can be so damn expensive, but Umiya Sushi is my go-to when I’m studying in the library and need a break and a feed. The Donburi bowls for $5 are a lifesaver, and the array of sushi with all pieces pretty much $1 each is a greal deal too.

So nice to have a sushi place in a our own local area - even better having it in the shopping centre so I can go there after dong all the errands etc and don't need to make a special trip to get it - how conveneient ! The sushi is only $1 a piece for the standard which includes my favourite - salmon and avocado YAY !!  The others are nice too and you pay a little bit more but so worth it !  The size is big and makes it really good value for money - I always go for the end of roll pieces which are also even bigger still and more filling !! Good to get in as soon as they've made it so that it's fresh, sometimes it has beeen a little dry...even with the soya sauce dribbled over it !  Love the miso soup and always get one to go with the sushi !  Great selection of hot japanese foods too !!

Lots of hot options too- love the takoyaki. Nice sushi roll options, this place is popular for a reason! Try a red bean donut for something deliciously different ;)

Umiya Sushi is constantly welcoming queues of people come lunch time because the demand is that great! These days, everyone loves choosing exactly what they eat and Umiya Sushi allows you to do just that! My favourites have to be the quirky ones with brown rice, purple rice, green rice and even pink rice! Also, there are some absolutely delicious tokoyaki balls that are a must-have each time!
