The Waterworks, located in the Coromandel, is a must-do holiday activity. Originally started by the Oglivie family on their family farm, this water-park has become an extremely popular attraction for locals and tourists. The Waterworks is dotted with many different water attractions, playgrounds, BBQ spots and even a waterhole!

The Waterworks uses mostly recycled material for their attractions and a lot of the pottery is made by Kay Oglivie herself. Whether you park your camper-van up or make a day trip, this park is perfect for the whole family!

This is the perfect place for a hot summer day. The playground is not just for kids- there’s a human-sized hamster wheel, a flying fox and hovering bikes to pedal on. The swimming hole is perfect for cooling down and the diving plank just adds to the fun. What really makes this place stand out are the unique features here and there, my favourite being the water canon where you can verse a friend and blast water at each other.
