The Rendezvous Hotel Auckland

Great for an overnight stay

The decor, service and overall ambience is what makes this my 2nd fav choice in Auckland. Location is fab for a quick walk downtown. The rooms are big and very nice and if you splurge to Club class (which isnt that pricey) you get free drinks and nibbles overlooking Auckland city. Love this place for a great value stay.

The Rendezvous first came across to me as cheap and someone you would go if you were having an affair just because of the name. But this certainly led me astray because Rendezvous is one of the nicest hotels I have been in and I have travelled the world. The high end fashion/accessory stores and Louis Vuitton bags placed decoratively around the lobby set the vibe for an extremely classy and elegant hotel. My friend and I only got a standard room but it was still very nice and came with full use of the pool and gym which were huge and beautiful. The Rendezvous Grand Hotel is definitely not somewhere to take your mistress, it’s too nice.

This is a nice central hotel. It makes conferences/seminars easy to get to. Plenty of parking across the road under the Aotea Centre

Best hotel in Auckland

Was involved with an event that was run at the Rendezvous Hotel. All of the event staff were fantastic in the lead up to the event dealing with both strange requests and storing all of the sponsored product for the goodie bags. They also provided us with space to make and store the goodie bags. On the day they were fantastic with set up, doing everything perfectly according to specifications. The most impressive thing however was the kitchens ability to get out 300 chicken breast dishes, all perfectly cooked and juicy with steamed vegetables which were just the right amount of cooked. Amazing.

Every year on my birthday I choose a hotel with a great deal going & stay a night or two.  The Rendezvous has won out 2 years in a row.  I grabbed a wonderful deal for 2 nights in a club Class room for $199.00 a night.  I got access to the Club lounge for divine cheese nibbles and bubbly from 5pm-7pm.. then free continental brekky in the morning. The rooms are huge with lovely furnishing making it very comfortable.  A nice bathroom with bath ( a must for me who is addicted to bubbles)..and a great view. There are many facilities to enjoy and great restaurants on site if you dont feel like moving or it is ideal for a show at the Civic or The Edge (literally across the road) .  Close to a lot of good things. The Atrium style of the lobby lounge creates a unique atmosphere.  I love standing up on a high floor looking down at the action in the lobby and bars. Good service, good facilities, another great 5 star hotel in central Auckland.
