wow this place is incredible- drinks and a high class meal is a great night out.

As well as being home to one of Auckland’s finest menus, Chef Sean Connelly’s restaurant The Grill takes pride in serving up fresh fare creating using some great local artisan brands. These include Harmony Piggery and the much loved Kokako coffee roasters, as well as Olaf’s Artisan Bakery and locally crafted tools like St Clair Copper Cookware. They also do one of the city’s best Sunday roasts, posher than most but absolutely delicious!

Wow I had been waiting a long time to eat here and they didn't disappoint. The food was amazing and the service excellent. Can't wait to go again.

We went here for our wedding anniversary, the service was faultless, best steak I've had for a long time and divine creme caramel!

The best meal that I have had in Auckland. Perfect food, perfect wine and superb staff!

There is a lot to be said for high quality produce and simple clean recipes and Sean Connolly proves this! This restaurant is stunning from top to toe with both its decor and its menu. The steaks are exceptional - don't bulk at the prices, it's 100% worth it. The Queensland prawn starter is amazing and again worth the price. Good wine list, lots of variation as well as some of the NZ well known wines that we all love. Service is always up to par - friendly and not overbearing. If I could afford to eat here every day I would but this is one of the best of Auckland's special occasion restaurants.

We waited ages for the waiter to come and take orders, and they were not friendly at all. The food was ok. Duck fat chips are disappointing too.

If you're after a kick **** steak then look no further. The amazing aged on the bone Angus rib eye was very nearly too much for me (no, not really — it was perfect!) And if you're feeling a little less like a steak then the Wagyu Beef burger is the way to go. But watch out — those duck fat chips are WAY too good to share so make sure you get enough to go around else there'll be an argument. I'm pretty sure everything on the menu is amazing, and I'm keen to go back and try it all!

I think we need to send someone else from Localist to confirm your rave is factually correct. Okay, I'll go!
