Salta Espresso is located on Ponsonby Road and is one of Auckland's friendliest cafes serving a extensive menu, great mix of food and coffee with a smile.

Salta is child friendly and is well set up to cater for groups, making it ideal for business meals and catching up with friends.

It was my shout for Mum for lunch and I wanted to wow her with something healthy, delicious and impressive. Salta is a Ponsonby fave that’s been there for ages but it’s fresh, seasonal menu is always a winner. My seared salmon on smashed avo ($19.50) was light and clean while Mum’s lamb meatballs on polenta mash ($21) were full of authentic spices. They do a great green smoothie ($9) here too with tahini in it. Unusual and delish!

              I mean a fixture in Three Lamps and that I am a fixture.  I visit almost everyday and look forward to any of the many yummys on the menu.  Great personalities and consistent service. One of the best!  

                Best coffee, best people in Ponsonby

                  Salta have been making these lemon poppyseed muffins for as long as I can remember, and I love them. They are delicious. Perfect amount of fruit (raisins), not too dry or cakey, and a good size. Their other muffins are good too, but I have a soft spot for this guy! Great coffee too (gotta ask for a double shot).

                    It was my second time there and I ended up on the exact same spot: on the couch upstairs. Super nice to lounge around there with a newspaper and a good cup of coffee. Just had something small sweet with it each time, which was also nice.

                      Ask us a question
