What better way to celebrate the introduction to Spring than a stroll around the celebrated Queens Gardens in Invercargill. There is plenty to do and see for the family including the new additions to the family of animals that reside here, the fresh scent of the blossom trees, vibrant daffodils and tulips, and of course the wide expanse of the sought after playground will leave the kids breathless after months cooped up inside!
Queen’s Park really is fit for a queen, with 17 lush, verdant hectares and a stunning array of areas to explore with you and the little ones. We love to check out the aviary and the animal park - not to mention the lovely Winter Gardens. Set aside a few hours and be sure to pack a lovely picnic! As a fun challenge, be sure to engage the kids in a game of "find the statues" - there are birds, seals, cupids and my personal favourite - a Peter Pan!
