Nestled in the West Lynn Shops, amongst the antique stores and specialist food shops you will find Monterey. With a focus on really good food, exceptional coffee and personable service, the cafe is a local favourite. Enjoy a flat white in the sunny courtyard or a plate of their famous zucchini fritters in their light filled interior.

In the evenings the cafe turns into an honest local eating house. From Wednesday to Saturday you are able to pop by the local favourite and enjoy something from the seasonally-changing menu. Think classic mussel fritters and sticky lamb ribs.

Smooth coffee & mouth watering eggs n free range bacon

    I’ve just moved down the road from Monterey and in the past week it’s become my staple for takeaway coffees. The light filled interior is a welcome sight for bleary eyes in the morning and the coffee is a good drop. If you’re looking for something to eat the mince on toast is a great choice and their coconut loaf is also worth a mention.

      What’s not to love about lamingtons?

        Cute retro style cafe. Fantastic choice of breakfasts, sandwiches and treats. Good value too. Lovely sunny outside area which is perfect for a leisurely brunch.

          I really like to come up here and grab a coffee and a snack. They are real friendly too, though sometimes you have to avoid the swarming babies. Classic Grey Lynn. 

            This is a local favourite of ours - you can't beat the coffee and the staff are always so friendly.

                This really is an awesome cafe with just the right combination of service, food and atmosphere.

                    The coffee was good but lunch not so sharp. Maybe back for a coffee but probably not for food
