Purveyors of the addictive bubble tea drink from Taiwan, Momotea City Howick offer a range of flavours of the tapioca pearl drinks as well as a selection of tasty Malaysian foods.

With friendly staff, cute interiors and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, Momotea City is open until 2-3 AM which makes it the perfect place to grab an after-movie snack or late-night treat at great prices. Booking in advance is a good idea as the place fills up fast!

Tried it the other day - I love all the different type of teas available

    Open till late for a filling supper and the amazing bubble tea. My fave - taro milk tea!

        Black tea eggs! Yep they look evil but they taste great (a hint of cinnamon compliments it well). Great Asian choices and a well priced menu.

            Great food if your in a rush this place was tasty and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend if you like asian food

              Having grown up drinking bubble tea my whole life, I've had my fair share of good and bad ones and I'm also quite a fussy drinker too. I decided to try out Momo Tea, as it's become the latest trendy place to hang out and hearing good reviews about its drinks. The prices put me off almost immediately- they charge more than all the other places I know of in Auckland that sell bubble tea, but I was determined to try it anyway. The cup sizes they come in are standard so nothing special, despite the prices. Found the drink a little too sweet- sweeter than they should be, and the pearls weren't especially good. Rather disappointed as I paid $6.50. My friend who came with me ordered a papaya milk drink, and she said they added far too much syrup which made it too sweet.  Overall the place did not live up to its hype- not sure how it's stayed in business to be honest when there are much cheaper and better places within a 5 min drive. Will be sticking to my usual favourite places instead. 

                Whether it’s just a pearl milk tea you want, or a small snack or you are hungry for a feast, this is a place with it all. This is like a Chinese Denny’s restaurant! Very well priced. Loads of seating, eat in or dine out, they have it all. Loads of different pearl milk tea flavours!!!

                  I've only ever gotten the pearl milk teas from here, but they are definitely my favourite for this in the Eastern area. They always have the pearls/boba for the tea, and they're reasonably priced. The place is also really cute and always has customers. My only critique is that the service can be a little slow at times.
