Good coffee and pies, right by the water as well.

    Great location for the best coffee

      Great place to pick up a coffee and some ice creams for the kids, then head to the beach. The fish and chips are also a great option if you need lunch.

        Came here with some friends for lunch. All of us ordered the fish and chips. Food for 4 arrived after about 15 mins. Food well presented, chips and batter was crispy and fish was ok. Salad was also good. Only downside was the huge price at about $18 a plate, and the hoki fish used wasn't particularly special. Would be better off just getting fish and chips from takeaways next time. 

          Very yummy breakfast and so unbelievably quick! Never burn the coffee but can be a tad expensive. Amazing view and lovely service, could do with more vegetarian options

              Nice to sit outside and enjoy a coffee while looking out at the view of Maraetai beach. Yummy ice-creams next door too :-)

                Maraetai Wharf Cafe is situated right on the beach and is open 7 days from 7am providing a sumptuous range of food and delicious coffee. The breakfast/brunch/lunch menu provides an extensive choice and the ever changing blackboard is sure to excite. The cabinet food is all made fresh inhouse. They provide a fantastic range of gluten free options proving that being on a special diet doesn’t mean you have to miss out on a great experience. They have a reputation of making the best coffees and are fully licenced serving wine and beer. Maraetai Wharf Cafe has a warm and relaxing ambience and the views across the water to Waiheke Island are second to none. The most popular dishes include: Fresh Tarakihi and Chips served with a winter salad, Scallop Fettucine, Gourmet Venison Burger, Lambs Fry and Bacon, Maraetai Breakfast (the works!), Eggs Benedict with either salmon or bacon (delicious!!!). Our homemade pies (Maraetai Pies) have been described as “dreamy”, the most popular being Curry Chicken Pie. Our specialty, Mussel Fritters with Homemade Tartare Sauce has a regular following.
