Amazing food and the service is great. Worth the money

Been several times, food is generally good but I think expensive for what it is. $30+ for a main is more appropriate for a upmarket restaurant than a chain.

Very tolerant with a little two year old. Gave me time to relax! Staff were great for that and food was amazing.

Something on the menu to please everyone (perhaps not a vegetarian). I suggest going here on an empty stomach because the meals are huge! Never disappointing

Lone Star is always a safe option - but this one sort of feels more like a diner than other restaurants. The food is pretty good though, probably a good place to take families.

Went here on Sunday night, was quite busy, but that didn’t impact the service we received. Our table wasn’t quite ready so we were invited to grab a few drinks in the bar area til our table was ready. We were able to order an entree of squid from the menu at the bar, and they brought it to us when we were seated. All the staff made us feel welcome, especially Pete and Vicki (who checked on us regularly to see if everything was ok), was extremely impressed when it was the end of Vicki’s shift and she let us know and introduced us to the new waitress who would be looking after us for the rest of the night. Its service like this that will keep us coming back. Great stuff lone star!

Just went here again on Saturday night & they truly lived up to my previous review. Exceptionally good customer service.  I definitely felt special.  These people could teach most companies a thing or two about service!!  Great food.  Top marks.

If your looking for big semi American meals with a bit of a kiwi spin. Lonestar is your place. Their ribs are the best in Auckland by a long shot. No reservations taken. Just front on up and hope they can seat you. Usually there is no problems.

Lone star is a name seen around the world. They have restaurants all over N.Z. and the New Lynn one is as good as any. Parking is generally pretty good behind the building but it does pay to call ahead since its very popular.  They don't take strict bookings but you can get your name put on "the list" for preferential seating. Walking up the steps and through the large doors, it has a nice modern feel about the place. The staff here are well versed in top customer service techniques and make you feel at home. There's a significant bar on your left which will cater to your every whim. I recommend a cocktail or three before you eat. The menu is huge with plenty of American style dishes and some Mexican which I highly recommend. Plus there's your a good selection of kiwi meals as well. Don't forget to check out the www.lonestargrabameal.co.nz site first to get yourself a freebie. Well priced, huge plates and very tasty, all in a great atmosphere convinces us to go again and again.
