Delicious food.

Johnny Cash Stash is the staple dish whenever we dine there. The kids meals are great with the free sundae and soft drink too, love Lone Star!

Have Beer and a steak with the family or friends.

Amazing food good prices and friendly atmosphere. Lone Star is one of my fave places to eat!

We love Lone Star and Manukau is one of our favourite places to go, the portions are really good, delicious food and the atmosphere is great...we've had birthday dinners, a graduation celebration, christmas functions and just plain ol catch up with friends at Lone Star... Although pricey it's definitely well worth it and we look on the "Grab a Deal" lone star deals when we know we will be heading to lone star...you can catch some great deals, if you are quick!

The ribs are unstoppable. Great place for the guys to go have a full on feed after work and sink a couple of quite ones.

i took my daughter and my grandaughter there to celbrate our three birthdays . three geminis . It was reall good food ,tasy and plenty of it  .

We chose Lone Star because it was a rainy, cold Monday night and wanted some hearty food. We had booked ahead but hadn't needed too as the restaurant was only half empty. Unfortunately the air conditioning was on full regardless of the weather outside so we kept our jackets on the whole time as the staff told us they were unable to change it. Our entree of muscles which we shared was good, a large portion ideal for splitting between two. Although it was covered in cream which really should have been stated on the menu. There was only two vegetarian meals on the whole menu which was nachos (covered in sour cream and cheese) and a roast vegetable salad with aioli, very unimaginative and basic options. My main of salmon was quite disappointing, it consisted of a very large Regal Salmon Fillet which was fabulous, 2 very over cooked potatoes with 5 green beans and hollandaise(?) sauce. It was quite unbalanced with far too much salmon compared to the other mean servings of sauce, potatoes and beans on my plate. My husband ordered the steak which was cooked to perfection but was quite chewy and had a lot of fat still attached. His coleslaw was delicious, very nice and fresh but again his potatoes were also very over cooked. The drinks menu was quite limited only having the basic beer and wine menu. I had a Mac's cidar and my husband chose a Gisborne Merlot, both fine but quite over priced at $10-$12 each. For desert we chose to share the cheesecake, which was enormous. It was very rich and had the consistency of mousse and totally delicious. The service was very friendly although not frequent and took until we received our mains to get the drinks we ordered upon arrival. Lone Star is an ideal place for a kids birthday party or a fun dinner out with a bunch of friends. Its portion sizes are very generous but lean towards the quantity rather than quality approach. All the food is very reminiscent of pub meals, having large portions of premade potatoes and coleslaw. The atmosphere is fun and quite lively, full of sometimes almost overly friendly waitresses and kids birthday parties. Lone Star is definitely a no brainer destination for a child or teens family birthday dinner, offering up large meals which cater to the whole family (minus vegetarians).

I have been to Lone Star in New Lynn many times and love the American feel, huge menu and great service.  Last night we decided to try the Manukau Lone Star and were not disappointed. There was  good parking outside the door although it was pretty full, we managed to get one luckily.  The place is big bold and very busy.  We happened to score one of the last tables and at 7pm the place was heaving. The service was quick & pleasant.  The menu is smaller than New Lynn's but covers a lot of yummy looking Americany, Mexicany, meals and should have something for most tastes.(Lots of chicken, steaks, burritos & ribs). The kids meals are great at $12 including a drink, main & ice cream sundae. I had the salt & pepper squid $15 to start with a cobb loaf $9 to share with the kids.  The loaf was so damn good it was burning hot when it arrived and melted in our mouth.  Served with a yummy huge pile of garlic herb butter! Fantastic.  The kids had a beef burger which was served on beautifully soft & fresh buns with a huge meat patty.  They loved it. I had the Quesadilla,  which is actually only an entree $17 but I knew it would be plenty big enough and it was.  I actually ordered the beef but they were out of beef ( at 7pm I found that a bit strange) so chose the chicken and was glad I did once it arrived.  It was big and very very tasty.  We ended the meal with a shared dessert and with plenty of choice with a lovely sounding blackboard special we decided on the LoneStar legendary Kahlua & moro bar cheesecake.  OMG it was amazing. (and huge). I looked around at the many happy locals eating the absolutely, enough to feed Africa sized, ginormous meals and realised this place is a fav in South Auckland.  It deserves to be with great tasting, great value meals served by efficient smiling staff who checked on us at every chance.  My only gripe was the meals came out so very quickly - too soon after each other but with the other great points I got over it.  No booking so first in first served always works well. Hungry? Definitely recommend Lone Star Manukau for a fast feed of very tasty food!

Have been here a few times and the food is always great. Most of the time there is abit of a wait but that is to be expected when they are serving such yummy food.
