While sometimes Les Mills can get a bad rep from having the best looking people and therefore can be just a tad intimidating, really this should not put you off. There are plenty of 'normal' sorts in the gym who are there to do the hard work and have fun but not be a crazy fit freak! The classes are seriously good, work you hard and pretty much make exercising really fun! Keeps me coming back and going to the gym about five times a week!
I've been going to Les Mills for more than 6 years and when I get tired of a particular class, its really easy to find another class that's equally challenging. My favorite classes are Body Pump and RPM (spin). Try Willy's RPM class at 9.30am on Mondays or Polo's Body Pump class at 11.10am on Tuesdays. Body Attack is really good if you want a cardio workout - they even get you running around the studio!
Their gym routines and workouts are world renowned and sought after. If you're looking for a gym that really knows the business of exercise and fitness training then this is it. I especially like that they have instructors that are professionally trained and really enjoy the group fitness and aerobic classes. It's worth everything I pay for it.
Les Mills is really a destination. The first time you go there it's a bit intimidating. Everyone seem to be psyched and pumped and there's a real energy in the air. This could be due to the amazing fitness classes they hold. Their instructors are experts in their field and have a great knack of getting the whole class into a fitness frenzy. This is really a gym where it's hard to get bored. No wonder they are so successful at exporting their classes throughout the world. Well done!
