KIZUNA Japanese Restaurant

Love this restaurant, great service, very good food and a fantastic setting once you walk through to the restaurant.

Unassuming from the road in an even more unassuming set of shops at the corner of Elstree Ave and West Tamaki Road, Kizuna surprised us.  With modern, industrial furnishings, friendly staff and delicious food - Kizuna is a sanctuary where you could sit endlessly with a group of friends and just savour the evening.  Every dish was thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend making Kizuna a regular - I intend to!

Wow - have walked by numerous times - a restaurant in a row of a few other shops.... Finally stopped in, incorrectly expecting reservations weren't needed.  Despite being busy, they found us a table and we followed the host down a welcoming hallway and down stairs into a surprisingly cavernous room, simply but well decorated and ooking out on an outdoor patio. Food?  So far the best Japanese I've had in Auckland.  We've been back several times, often with friends and have tried almost everything on the menu.  Everything has managed to impress every time. I hesitated to write a review and face being unable to get in but, then that would be selfish.  Do yourself a favour and treat yourself.  You won't be disappointed.
