The first restaurant in years where I enjoyed every mouthful - new flavours are rarely experienced in restaurants by vegetarians, and each dish bought me a fresh reminder just how much difference an innovative chef can make. I love Hectors every time I go, it has the staff presence just right, and the menus never fail to make me happy. #shoutme

I love the vegan options that this restaurant has - awesome!

The waiters understand veganism and will bring you soy milk for your coffee without being asked. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, it’s vegan food for when you want to get fancy but don’t want to be left eating the entres or yet another vege risotto with the meat taken off.

Not strictly vegetarian, but prides itself on its abundance of vegetarian and vegan options, from starters all the way to desserts. The best, if not the only, place to go for vegan and vegetarian fine dining in Auckland.

Hectors at the Heritage is sucha  lovely restaurant - excellent ambience with its atrium setting, fabulous service and a menu that focuses on local, seasonal produce. One of the few restaurants that does really sophisticated vegetarian/vegan options.

The thing that struck me the most about Hector's restaurants was their desire to provide local ingredients and to know the journey from farm to plate. They also have quite a few gluten-free and vegetarian meals on the menu, and yummy ones at that. You can tell they've put a lot of thought into the menu. The roasted swede soup with pickled hazelnuts and cabbage was particularly lovely, and I got an extra piece of cheese on my cheeseboard - always a winner for me!
