I came here for the first time the other day with my friend because we were craving some Yum Cha. We got prawn dumplings which were amazing, I hadn’t tried prawn dumplings yet and I am addicted. Also the BBQ pork buns which I also had never tried so although I have nothing to compare it to I LOVED them. We also got steamed rice roll with BBQ beef which I highly recommend! I was quite wary coming here it didn’t have the most breathtaking set up but all that really matters is the food was amazing in my opinion! The staff were very nice and tolerable of my rooky knowledge of what particular menu options were. All in all this place is great to come to if your family love ethnic foods!
of course this is what yum Char was made for. Large groups and sharing. The service is efficient here, we came with a large group of work mates and had a set menu. Everyone thought the food was very tasty and different but there was too much of it! we had to send some back as we were so full!! Not the best place for vegetarians as they had no vegetarian yum char apart from some steamed bok choy, but they did make a good effort at trying to create some interesting looking tofu dish for our vegetarian diner. so kudos for the effort!
Dragon's Boat was there way before the masses caught wind of Yumcha. Nowdays every Chinese restaurant does Yumcha, but before the hype Dragon's boat had been doing it for years and years. The owner really knows his stuff and does his best to greet each customer. Thanks Dragon's Boat for popularising Yumcha.
