Dizengoff

I got so excited about my eggs that I was halfway through them before taking a photo, Dizengoff’s scrambled eggs are incredibly rich and delicious. Thankfully they come with a sharp green pesto to cut through the cream. Also great paired with the creamy mushrooms, which are a taste sensation!

Shared a chicken salad, avo salad and great catch up with my buddy in from the states. Love the Diz. Always reliably amazing, colourful and delicious.

A total Ponsonby institution, this Jewish but not kosher cafe does the mean breakfast salad (sounds odd but it works!).  Generous portions, great coffee, amazing eggs. If you're hungover I highly recommend you head straight for the spectacular mushrooms. A must to add to your regular visit list.

There’s nothing quite like starting the week with a stomach full of Dizengoff muesli. Served with a pile of fresh fruit, natural yoghurt and a generous drizzle of honey the meal feels like it’s doing your body a world of good. We sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air while lazily sipping on a couple of flat whites. With a start like this I’m not really sure why everyone has such an issue with Mondays?

There’s something about the mushrooms at Dizengoff that gets me everytime. I reckon I could eat them daily, mixing it up every so often with a side of poached eggs or the sausage. For the record the rest of the menus pretty great too. The staff are super friendly and the coffee’s also always on point.

The place was full of people and the coffee was perfectly made and lovely & hot. A wonderful brioche topped off a lovely coffee date.
