When you feel like Indian and you are prepared to drive from the city central to Rothesay Bay and back just to get that amazing vege korma then you know that you have found something special. Chand is worth the drive, trust me. Some people say that all Indian restaurants were created equal, those people would be wrong. Chand is a treat for your taste buds. You’ll feel like a king sitting in their huge wooden chairs and that’s all part of the charm, Indian restaurant’s generally are best when they are a little quirky, I don’t know why and I’m not here to question it either, why question a good thing?
Chand is very good for takeaways (very good prices for yum food) and also very nice to eat in at as well as they have a very opulent interior with lovely chairs and tables and lots of space. My favourite dish is the potato spinach dish they do which I always forget the name of (aloo palak?) but they also do other nice vegetarian dishes and I'm told their chicken curries are good too.
