This place has the best coffee in Auckland. It was our local cafe but when we shifted to the North Shore we just kept coming back whenever we could. Its situated right next to a cool little park and just has a great feeling to it. I recommend the plum brioche. Its family friendly and parking is a breeze. Plus they have free Wi-Fi.
Brick by Brick is a new recent-ish arrival in Onehunga, and is located in the old service station construction site that used to be there !! Good location with free parking right outside and it offers a good selection of treats and menu options, (wouldn't mind a bit more choice though !) It is a good choice for a quick coffee stop or a more leisurely breakfast, brunch or lunch if you want to take your time about it. The cafe has friendly service and has a spacious interior, allowing patrons to enjoy a quiet coffee over a magazine, or sit outside next to the Tin Tacks Reserve. It's child-friendly too and they have kiddie toys and books and help keep your kids busy so you can chill out for a while. Worth giving it a go.
Love the decor and space - has a loungy relaxed feel to it and great cabinet food. Coffee's not so bad but we ordered poached eggs on toast and the eggs were poached hard in what looked like an egg poacher of some sort as it was identically shaped, veges overcooked. Service is good and seems like it could be so much better if they paid more attention to the food to order!
