    Blita Pizza is amazing dine in or takeaway. The price is fantastic for the type of food, flavour and portion size you get. We love to order takeaway for a nice night in or escape for a meal out in a lovely atmosphere full of friendly faces and a great energetic environment. WOuld highly recommend trying this place but take extra time for parking as there is not a lot available in the area.

      I love Italian so I was very excited when my boyfriend and I decided to dine at Blitza in Highbury. As soon as we walked in to the restaurant, we were shown our table and the service was immaculate. My vegetarian cannelloni was to die for as was the garlic cheese bread I had as a side dish. My partner opted for mousaka and a Greek salad both of which he found divine. I can't wait to go back to Blitza with it's buzzy atmosphere and friendly approach to its customers. :)

        Blitza Pizza is a family run Italian restaurant that also offers a decent sized takeaway menu  with about 23 mouth watering pizzas to choose from as well as enticing Italian dishes. As I walked into Blitza Pizza it was quite apparent that this restaurant loves to cater to large parties/ families as the restaurant was packed to the brim with happy people celebrating and feasting.  I myself was in to pick up their Blitza Special pizza and the Smoked Chicken pizza.   I noticed there were a few others waiting for their takeaway meals all being forced to stand as there wasn’t much of a waiting area for people ordering takeaway. Blitza Pizza has definitely maxed-out  there seating plan as much as they possibly can so I’d recommend ordering ahead as to avoid standing awkwardly over a table of people enjoying their meals. That being said, it’s so crowded because it’s so good!! As it was my first time I would be enjoying a pizza made by a “top finalist in the Global Pizza Challenge” I had no idea what I was in for.  When I opened that box and saw the mountainous toppings I was in awe.  They looked amazing and yes they also tasted pretty darn good too.   Baby corn is not my usual go to topping on a pizza but the Blitza Special pizza tackles it and succeeds. The smoked chicken pizza is a decadent masterpiece. Layered with large slices of avocado and chicken, a generous serving of sundried tomatoes and a perfect under layering of cheese I was not only taken with the flavour but by the sheer weight of the pizza.  If you are looking for some great pizza around Auckland, check out Blitza Pizza they will impress.

          Growing up in the area I have been to Blitza Pizza many times before, but my partner never has so I thought I would take him to show him just how good they are. Usually I have dined in but this time however we got take away and took it back home. As it was nice an quite so we got in there with outt any troubles and managed to order with ease. They had only just opened - they open at 5pm each night, which is a shame as I think it would be so great if they opened for lunch as well especially on the weekends. As always the food was freshly made and the pizza. Well lets just say it didnt make it all the way home. We ate it in the car on the way as it just smelt way too good to just let it sit there.

            Great food here. Have been here a few times now. In small groupts and in larger groups. I have found like many restaurants when they have larger groups they dont cope as well. But the food does make up for it - in the end
