I'm addicted. I go to Bian most days for lunch - the freshest in seafood and generous with their Avocado servings - ticks all the boxes for me. Am yet to try Donburi but they look delicious. Salmon sushimi is all time and they have a help-yourself tartare sauce witch is made in house and pairs nicely with the Tina rolls. Also have loyalty stamp cards.
Time and again this hallowed spot is voted Best Sushi in Auckland by far posher palettes than mine and it was award-winning status that drew me there in the first place. And boy does Bian deliver - the rice is chewy and flavoursome, the wasabi gives a kick in all the right places and the freshness of the fish (and I’ve heard meats) are absolutely stand-out. What does it for me with sushi is the tuna - how good is their tuna sashimi and sushi counterpart? Well at Bian, it’s the best, the very best. Get here now!
Wow what a taste sensation! The attention to detail, the pop of zesty flavours, the perfectly crispy katsu coatings and the absolute freshest raw fish available in Auckland Bian Sushi is top of the pops at the art of this exquisite type of Japanese food craft. And did I mention the light yet meaty tuna. My mouth is watering and I can't wait for my next visit.
Bian sushi on Symonds St is a regular lunch stop for me being just around the corner from my shop Gorgeous Creatures. It is truly the freshest and tastiest sushi I have ever had (and has totally ruined me because now I won't eat sushi anywhere else). The fillings are very generous and the one with the little salmon eggs on top is one of my favourites followed closely by the spicy chicken with coriander. And that onion sauce they have by the counter is a must try - great on tuna.
