"Roger Hunter’s Garden Centre is the jewel of Mangere. Endless rows of botanical bargains and pink wheelbarrows meet you at the gate, and you’ll find Roger onsite taking your money, making you smile and giving out free gardening advice most days of the week."

"We had some nasty, cheap planting in our front garden that some developers had put in. We got in a digger, ripped em out, and had beautiful new hedges in their place by the end of the day. The Living Walls come in one meter lengths that you drop into a trench and cut the bags off. They look like they've been in the ground for years."
" We have used hedges from twining Vally twice in our garden and LOVE them. They have transformed our garden in a day! Our neighbours were rather astonished and they are happy too. They are very easy to put in and to keep alive! They look even better a year down the track. We have replaced fallen down hideous trees and lanky overgrown boundaries with stylish and beautiful hedges. Couldn't be happier. It is such a fab idea!"
" I've used this company at 2 of my homes now and cannot recommend them enough. They have a fantastic selection of hedges in various species & sizes ready to deliver to your garden. I love the fact that the results are not just immediate, but they have the established look immediately. Next on the list is my front garden, & I'll definitely be calling Twining Valley Nurseries again."

"As far as I can tell this is the only nursery in South / East Auckland open on the weekend. Which is great when you need real planting and gardening advice which you don't necessarily get at the big hardware stores with garden centres. The staff are very knowledgeable but don't try to sell you something you don't need. 4 1/2 stars only because they had run out of one of the things we wanted :("
" Bit of a hike out to takanini depending where you live, but if your looking for a great range of plants at reasonable prices - then well worth a look, we went out based on a couple of discount voucher we had and was well worth the trip . Staff are very helpful and friendly, the place has a good range is nice and tidy and the trolleys as good as a theme park to ride around in for our one year. Little hard to find as google maps took us the wrong way - if your looking and coming from the city - take the takanini offramp and go right back under the motorway and its next to Placemakers - google took us left - so we got lost for quite a while . "When I had to cut down a couple of huge trees part of the resource consent included I had to plant a tree to replace them. So I decided since my property is fairly tropical and I like this theme I would plant a palm to meet the consent conditions. I popped out ( well actually its quite a long way) to Southern Palms and was impressed with their collection. Lots of palms. Managed to score a nice one exactly the minimum height requirement and brought it home to give it a new residence. Council happy, me happy."

" It as wonderful place to have a nice quiet meal, you can sitn the garden hidden away from everyone else and had a really nice time. Only comment was for a garden centre venue the grounds definitely needed a good amount of TLC and the actual garden centre itself was full of knocked over and poorly looked after half dying plants. I will definitely be going back but I won’t be buying any plants from there that’s for sure."
