What makes Time Out so wonderful is the staff's dedication, sheer knowledge and friendliness. They KNOW books, and there are always at least two people working so they can spend time talking to customers whilst still providing an excellent and efficient service. They also have a shop cat, Lucinda. Best.
This friendly, cosy and unassuming book store makes you want to sit down and curl up with a cup of tea inside the store. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, an in-store animal, great selection of both Best Sellers and more unique books on offer. Shopping for books is a comfortable, homely experience in this store. Great window displays as well!
one of the best .For some reason I cannot explain I always buy international travel books from Time Out . The travel section works like a magnet for me .Time Out is a tiny little shop in the heart and mind of Mt Eden .The book selection is just great ,the shops location is perfect .Coffee shops and a book shops thats Mt Eden .
Time Out Bookshop in Mt Eden village is quite possibly the best place you could go for buying new books in Auckland. Their selection is smaller than the major retailers but the selection is carefully tailored to the more discerning book lovers and gift-buyers among us. The staff are all passionate about the books and seem to have read most of what is in store! Especially the new arrivals.
One of those great "little" bookstore where pretty much everything in the shop is worth picking up. There's no crappy airport fiction, no magazines, and none of those 'of the moment' sports biographies that seem to get sold by the hundredweight over Christmas. Rather, you'll find an excellent selection of novels, travel writing, art books etc. In my opinion, Unity on Fort Street _just_ tips Time Out due to their better selection of music/film/pop culture books, but that's just my bias. Well worth checking out.
