"I love that i can shop from the comfort of my own home. The products that are available from mighty ape are great. They truly do have something for everyone. The prices of all their products are cheeaper than I have seen them at other places. I love that you dont have to get it posted but have the option of picking it up aswell. The staff are super friendly and helpful- big ups to them. I would do all my shopping with them if I could!"

"Book shops are my happy place, and Auckland has some amazing literary destinations that are a hell of a lot more fun then staring at an e-book. One of my favourites is Unity Books in High Street, where you’ll find the best of new international releases as well as a brilliant selection of local publications. Their staff picks are always spot on too, so if you need a little extra inspiration keep an eye out for them dotted around the store. Perfect lazy Sunday activity at its best!"
"I can happily spend hours in this shop, browsing through all the intriguing titles on display and rubbing shoulders with all the other like-minded bookworms that always fill the place."
"For all of your book-geek needs head to Unity on High Street. You will love the huge selection and little gems here and will most likely spend hours just flicking through the pages of nice new books. Close to inner city parks so I’d suggest taking your new purchase into nature to get a bit more familiar with each other."
432 Mount Eden Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1024
"It’s just like a little old library with lots of interesting books rather than just the over advertised ones. Great speciality books & music section, the staff are brilliant AND they have a cat!"
"As I’m still very much a child at heart, my favourite part of Time Out is the children’s section at the back. They have so many beautifully illustrated children’s books that make me wish I had friends with kids to buy them all for. The staff are really nice AND there’s a cat - what’s not to love?"

"Love getting to Dress-smart to get a dress on sale at Marcs, deal on Sportsgear from Nike, discounted skin products from Life Pharmacy with a grab of quick lunch at the best Sushi around. And you never know what else might catch my eye at a bargain price! All you need at DressSmart Outlet Mall at great prices. Recommend."
"Let's face it, Dress-Smart is totally a guilty pleasure. It's perfect for me as I am always slightly late in catching up with fashion. By the time I've cottoned on to the latest trends they're often out of the main shops. So thank goodness for DressMart where I can then go to grab up all the fashion items that I am ready for but at bargain prices!! I LOVE shopping here, but I have to come prepared. I need at least 2- 3 hours (half a day or more is best). You are likely to get lost so a map is a good idea! Luckily every few "blocks" of shops they have food stores so you can rest and rehydrate for more shopping!"

"The Ponsonby Women's Bookshop is a Ponsonby institution and a very good bookshop. I am often doing a double take at the window and having to go in for a browse. They stock a range of books from cooking, gardening, interiors, New Zealand subjects and authors to inspiration and self help. There is something for everyone."
" I love this book shop, they done there own book reviews so they know what there talking about! And amazing customer service. It's a real gem! "
"This place has a great atmosphere - they’re really passionate about what they do. As the name suggests there’s a focus on women’s interests, but i’m also always surprised by the great range outside of this that’s on offer. Lots of great children’s books too, and they are specially known for stocking therapy and counselling books."

"It was with a heavy heart that I farewelled season three of Game of Thrones. To combat the post season depression the girlfriend and I enrolled ourselves into a cheese making course ($60 including the cheese making kit which was worth $40) at Cook the Books. Over the course of the evening nine cheese beginners of us learnt the art of making halloumi, ricotta and feta in the shop's demonstration kitchen. The actual process was easier than I thought and I'm looking forward to trying it at home. Post-cheese making we all sat down and enjoyed the fruits of our labour in the form of a grilled halloumi salad with a few cheeky wines. All in all it was a really enjoyable experience. I'm going to put this out there, cheese making might be perhaps a better time than watching Game of Thrones. "
"Amazing book shop. Unbelievable range of gorgeous books. Really interesting and unusual evening classes also. Highly recommend!"
"Modern cookbooks, with their glossy pages and beautiful photography are extremely seductive and Cook the Books have an amazing selection to wet your appetite. Before you fall in to the never ending world of food blogs, take a visit to Cook the Books and check out what they have on offer. There is no denying that the sign of a well used cookbook is its pages splattered with batter and curry sauce, and if you are anything like me I’d hate to see your laptop screen. Somethings just don’t translate well on a screen and cookbooks are something to pass down through the generations. Stop in find your next family favourite. Word of advice, this is probably not the best place to visit if you are hungry"
