Teresa has owned and operated The Hardware Cafe since 1996, she and her bustling cafe are definitely part of Titirangi's social fabric. The cuisine is a collection of Asian, British, Greek, Italian, Mediterranean, Moroccan and Middle Eastern. So no excuses for anyone not finding anything on the menu to tempt.
Outdoor seating is available, as well as The Toolroom for private functions. The emphasis is on relaxed eating. Should you be up up in the early hours it is not unknown for a singing barista to give you a coffee hit as early as 5.30am.

Take a weekend drive out to the Hardware Cafe and pick up a hot drink before you head out to watch the waves roll in on your favourite West Coast beach. This little cafe makes a mighty fine hot chocolate and is the perfect place to stop in and recharge on your way out to the coast. The staff are super friendly and will make you feel right at home, it also happens to be the perfect spot for people watching - one of my all time favourite past times.
