The hand-cut chips at The Bresolin only add to the comforting, rustic feel of the menu. The courtyard cannot be beaten, especially when the open fireplace is roaring. The staff are all dressed in cute, matching aprons, and the bar is equally impressive. Definitely worth visiting if you want that cozy feel without having to head too far from the CBD.
The Bresolin is an Edwardian villa-come-local tavern on upper Willis street. The share-plate style menu full of hearty, and exceptionally executed foods that match the culinary finesse which we have come to expect from the Bresolin brothers, in addition to the toasty open fire place, make it a top notch winter destination for a meal with friends.
Open up the top end of Willis Street, this is a great restaurant & bar that’s well worth a stop off. Go check it for the large cuts of meat or the well put together drinks list. It also comes with one of Wellingtons best outside drinking areas, so if you’re ever feeling like some drinks with sunshine, this is the place to go.
Newcomer to the scene, I’ve already loved this place before, but it deserves a mention in here. Up the top of Willis Street, it features an excellent menu and some sweet extras. Stay in tune with them for Sunday roasts (roasted in the courtyard, before your eyes) and other food based happenings. It also has a well-groomed drinks menu for you to enjoy in their lush outdoor area. Open early til late every day.
Just opened at the site of the old Bodega, a reincarnation of the crazy horse steak house, with a new menu more focused on shared dining, slightly larger than your average tapas dished, the menu here has a large array of delights, from these to larger meat dishes. As with everything done by this group the service is exceptional and the drinks list is definitely worth a once over, especially the in house soda pops, exceptional! With what could become one of Wellington's best outdoor areas in operation, it’s a must visit if you consider yourself knowledgeable about Wellington's hospitality scene.
