This restaurant had been recommended by many a friend and finally it was my turn to enjoy! Despite the 30 minute across town journey the view across the harbour back in to Auckland was pure delight. The service was courteous and warm. We began the meal with calamari and tuna, both were fresh and very well presented. Our mains of fish and lamb were full of flavour and left me satisfied. The kitchen was humming and the 3 chefs seemed to be enjoying their passion. Im a firm believer that a happy kitchen team always delivers a better meal and this team seemed well in tune and humming along. I would recommend this dining experience to anyone who wants a solidly good dining experience, without all of the pomp and circumstance but with great flavour.

Wow, awesome to have fine dining in the suburbs. Great food ,great service, great location, great parking. Just need to keep thinking of excuses to go back all the time !

We chose The Beach House Buckland's Beach because we had been here several times before and had amazing service and delicious food, right down the road from our house in Howick. The Beach House is chic and sophisticated little restaurant , located right on the beach front of Buckland beach. It overlooks the water and has spectacular sunsets....best matched with a glass of wine. The menu is comprised of traditional 'kiwi' cuisine with an abundance of seafood's and meats on offer....but quite lacking if you are a vegetarian. Our entree of seafood platter was divine, with large fresh prawns and oysters that tasted like they were straight of the boat. The waitress was unable to recommend a wine to match so we chose a local Pinot Gris which was absolutely delicious. Our mains were equally fabulous, although my husband requested his meat rear and it came out very well done. After pointing it out to the waitress who was unapologetic of the mistake it took an additional 25 minutes to get back out to us, which meant everyone else at the table had finished eating by the time he had started. The table behind us was also complaining of a 45 minute wait for food, yet the restaurant wasn't even half full. Over all the meals had the best, fresh produce on offer with simple yet effective flavour combinations. The desert of tiramisu so also fab, although very heavy on the cream. The atmosphere and food here is the best that east Auckland has to offer, its a shame their staff and service let them down otherwise it would be an easy 5 star review.

Dont get me wrong this is a nice place with a great menu but my last experience was a little underwhelming. I ordered the lamb rack which was delicious but a little small. I'm not a big eater at the best of times but with only 3 lamb cutlets on the plate I was left hungry. This may have been a ploy to get me to order the sides to go with my meal next time? My wife had the same feeling with the salmon...nice but a little small. Cant complain about the wine list, some really nice drops, though BYO is definitely the best option if you're conscious about cost. Still one of, if not the best, restaurant on Eastern or  Bucklands beach.

Beautiful views, amazing food and incredible staff...needless to say I will become a regular. I highly recommend the seafood platter

Went to the beach house last night for dinner. The beef eye fillet was perfectly cooked, great wine selection and delicious desserts. Great night out

The Beach House is by far the best restaurant in east Auckland. The service is impecable and the food is divine. It serves as the perfect summer spot with a wino any time. Highly recommended

Easy parking, great service and the food is just amazing.

Wicked resurant nestled right next to Buckland Beach. Great views over the water especially in the evening. The fish always keeps me coming back, tastes like its just been pulled up from the bay that day, the wine list is also nice and extensive.
