One of the best places to have a drink at sunset, the surf club is a community hub for beach-goers and locals alike. Not only do the lifeguards work hard to keep you and your loved ones safe in the water, their club is also a top place to have a delicious dinner. They also do excellent kids’ meals. Phone ahead to check their hours, as they change seasonally.

    Have been to many fun nights at the Piha Surf Club. They do dinners, concerts as well as saving your life! A hub of the community.

      i swim out here most days in summer and the lifeguards are great- always on patrol and watching. the cafe and restaurant is also very good quality, and a great place to meet with friends. overall, the lifeguards do a great job

        during the last few weeks of what we could call a season i injured myself out at piha and within about 2 minutes we had the guards all around me, we hadnt even called for help, they have great scanning on this beach and i now feel much safer out there in the water, i was in their clubhouse and it is a great looking facility, definately leading the way.

          the team do a great job at piha! where would we be without them

            A fabulous team there day in and day out to ensure we can enjoy our swim and beach experience knowing they have their eyes on us .  .   .    gotta love that
