Ever since the very first NZ McDonald’s restaurant opened in Porirua (1976), McD's (or Macca’s as it's affectionately known) has become a Kiwi icon. Now with over 160 restaurants nationwide, McD's has 9000+ staff and is one of NZ's largest employers of youth. McD's evolved heaps over the years, going from a burgers and fries chain to offering modern spaces for family meals and kids parties. Along with burgers and breakfasts, you can also have cafe-style fare plus salads and fruit bags. In 2013, McD's thrilled die-hard fans by bringing back the long-awaited Georgie Pies in selected restaurants.

It’s open 24/7 & is affordable. There’s bound to be one nearby for those late night get sneak away snacks. They have healthy options - but I’m down for those one-off fatty burgers! Esp after a good night out :)

All time favorite Big Mac

Love the fact mcds don’t have a surcharge!

While we all know McDonald's for it's great fast food, I'd like to congratulate McDonald's on winning the 2011 Retail Employer of the Year Awards! With great progression programmes, training and incentives in all shapes and forms, they really are the best place to start and grow your career. Congratulations!

Some may not like the food, some may not have tried it but my family are happy we have the Golden arches of Macca's everywhere we go.   whether it be a hot tasty simple breakfast at the airport on our way far away... or a kid's birthday party which brings such smiles to the little faces, or just a speedy snack on the way somewhere... McDonalds rocks!!!!
