A place suited to groups... loud.. bustling, busy and very much alive. ( surprised to see a DJ playing music while we dined). Huge choices of everything Japanese. Exceptional quality. Our group of 10 chose the set menu $70 pp. Not disappointed.. superb meat dishes, many courses, many varieties all with excellent service. Not a place for the hard of hearing or wanting a quiet dinner in any shape or form. Reminds me of the kind of place I loved when in my 20's/30's and when our objective was fun over food. Wonder if being a Friday night in the Britmart area made it the boisterous place it is. Perhaps dinner other nights is more subdued? Overall nice for a change, good food, lively and fun but perhaps if a conversation is wanted a better choice could be made . PS: Don't park next door in the Britomart carpark my night cost $50 in parking alone.
Located in the Britomart precinct Ebisu serves up contemporary Japanese food, a mix of sushi, sashimi and other traditional Japanese dishes. The decor is simple but elegant and it’s hard not to be mesmerised by the sushi chefs churning out classy dishes. This is exquisite cuisine and well worth checking out.
