Went for yum cha with a group of colleagues on a Thursday afternoon and it was reasonably busy. Service - Very attentive and friendly staff. Service was good. Food - Not a lot of variety compared to a few other Yum Cha places around Auckland. The prawn dumpling was probably the best dish out of the whole place while the "siu mai" had a very strong soya sauce taste. Not the best yum cha place in Auckland but acceptable standard. Value - 22 dollars each for about 15 of us and we ate a lot so its reasonably priced. Atmosphere - Standard fancy Chinese restaurant decor but lots of room so thats good. Overall - An okay place but not the greatest. Visited December 2012
We have eaten yum cha / dim sum here many times and so my comments relate to that rather than the a la carte menu. Unlike some other places you can always get a seat at Crystal Harbour and they don't rush you out the door after your 45 minutes is up. Don't be put off that you can always get a seat, it doesn't mean the food is average - the food is brilliant! Lots of choice both authentic and catering to the NZ market. Definitely worth a visit.
