Burger Fuel Ponsonby

Nothing beats a burger from the Kiwi awesomeness that is Burger Fuel. I've recently indulged in their latest offering - a Teenage mushroom pizza burger! It's like a pizza in a burger with grass-fed beef and holy moly is it a cowabunga combo! And because I'm a creature of habit I also can't help but shout out my two favourite BF burgers - the Bambina (if I'm not too hungry!) and a CN Cheese (if I feel like filling my burger boots). Love their kumara fries with aioli too so tasty and so good that I always feel like more even though my eyes are bigger than my tummy!

I really did want to try leave the more ‘chain store’ style burger joints out of this list, but a special mention and a ninth placing must go to Burger Fuel for their vegetarian options. As I delved deeper into research among my vegetarian friends (and their friends) as to where they go for their vege-tastic treat, it seemed Burger Fuel was the most consistent name that surfaced. Ka pai Burger Fuel.

After deliberating for about an hour about what to eat it was decided that we should opt for burgers, they’re easy and dependable. And when it comes to consistency Burger Fuel tops this, across the board the sauces, meat and add ons are pretty dam good. I opted for the ring burner, a burger stuffed with jalapenos, bacon, salad and beef. It was just what I was after. As an aside, the bacon backfire and ford freakout are also great tasting bites.

Burger Fuel is Great. They are one of the few places that offer Gluten free buns that still taste incredible.  First time I visited it, I was completely blown away with the range of food and especially the Kumara chips. Absolutely loved the size. Burger Fuel gets my vote as the best burger joint in NZ for sure. i never had a clue this place so good. try it to believe it. i recommend it for sure!

Great burgers, delicious fries and their gluten free bun is pretty super. Quite a nice place too– big windows to watch the world go by while enjoying some burger awesomeness.
