Took my Mum here for a meal yesterday.  Loved it.  Great paella.  Good wine, great tasting food, nice small place with good atmosphere, handy after late night shopping.  Even dancing to watch.  Really enjoyed night here.  Will definately go back.

Went here with my Mother for a relaxed dinner. The food was good, and service excellent.

Went here for the first time with my partner  it was really nice, the service was quick and friendly and they are awesome at catering to so many dietary  needs. Everything they have can be gluten free or vegetarian  its so great can't get this at to many places. I would definitely recommend going.

A relaxing way to wind down after a busy Friday...cocktails and tapas!!

If you want a chilled place to go for lunch this is the place! Great service and huge portions but food was delicious and served promptly!

I know it's a tapas bar, and they are by definition just snacks, but i never feel quite satisfied when I leave Bolero. I usually go in with a group of mates with the intention that we will get a selection of tapas and share them all, but there is never enough tapas on the plate to actually share with anyone. Taste wise they are good, but i'm usually a pretty easy critic, and after all the good things I've heard i still fail to be impressed. The desserts however, are really good, hence why they scraped 3 stars from me.

We fell in love with the calamari small dish, obviously. In the excitement of catching up with a friend who’d just come back home for the holidays, didn’t quite think enough to take note. But my tastebuds definitely recall it being pretty amazing. Other dishes were quite good too - we stuck to the tapas menu, and even did the dirty by ordering generic, boring old wedges, except for someone who normally shuns them (not out of pretentiousness, but more from my indifference to spuds), I found them hard to keep away from. Service was good, very attentive staff. Depending on the diner, they could seem a bit too attentive - we were asked several times if everything was okay, whether the food was fine, etc. We’re pretty laid back ourselves so it wasn’t too much of a bother, but as a retail veteran, I know a significant number of us Kiwis do like to be left to ourselves when dining/shopping. We ended up moving inside due to the rain - do recommend sitting outside if weather permits, as inside feels a bit sterile. Overall, glad to have found good tapas place on the Shore!

I often meet up with my friends here. It's great just for a coffee or for a whole meal. They can also accomodate reasonable sized groups, so good for a catch-up with friends. They have been known to have a couple of tango nights too... not sure if they still do them, but it was fun!
