"Absolute BEST eyebrow threading and waxing in the City! When I moved to Auckland a year ago, I was lucky enough to move into an apartment just around the corner from this little gem. Now, even though I travel a lot, I refuse to go anywhere but "Forever shine Beauty Therapy". Ronita and her staff are not only incredibly skilled, particularly in eyebrow threading and waxing, but also offer a holistic approach towards beauty therapy. Her and her staff are calm, friendly and even offer me helpful advice when I offload my troubles onto them..and when moving to a new, big City by yourself, this means A LOT! Thank You Forever Shine, you're my little Gem! xx"
" I've just had a great experience at Forever Shine Mount Eden! Have definitely found my new beauty therapist after moving to Auckland. Ronita was very professional and lovely to talk to. She did an amazing job threading my eyebrows, and the waxing was quick and easy...no mucking around. And I've already booked to head back in a months time. Thanks! Anna"

Pleased to say I have found my new beautician! :)"

"If you are a beauty freak like me then the news that San Francisco brand Benefit had finally arrived in New Zealand would have been greeted with much joy. They are renowned for their cute, quirky campaigns and their amazing brow bars, one of which can now be found smack bang in the middle of Smith & Caughey’s Queen Street branch. They do a fast, seriously great job and work with what Mother Nature gave you, as well as taking walk ins. Hallelujah."

"Book shops are my happy place, and Auckland has some amazing literary destinations that are a hell of a lot more fun then staring at an e-book. One of my favourites is Unity Books in High Street, where you’ll find the best of new international releases as well as a brilliant selection of local publications. Their staff picks are always spot on too, so if you need a little extra inspiration keep an eye out for them dotted around the store. Perfect lazy Sunday activity at its best!"
"I can happily spend hours in this shop, browsing through all the intriguing titles on display and rubbing shoulders with all the other like-minded bookworms that always fill the place."
"For all of your book-geek needs head to Unity on High Street. You will love the huge selection and little gems here and will most likely spend hours just flicking through the pages of nice new books. Close to inner city parks so I’d suggest taking your new purchase into nature to get a bit more familiar with each other."

"The best sushi I have ever had!!! Their grill is also to die for. Beautiful food, high quality ingredients."
"Nothing even comes close to the luxury, elegance and superb service at The Langham. Come enough and join their 1865 club for perks to die for. I just got upgraded to a $680/night suite. I love The Langham and stay every birthday, anniversary and anything else I can justify."
"This is another 5 star hotel for those of you who can afford to splash some pennies about. The Langham is where many celebrities visiting New Zealand tend to stay and the likes of Justin Bieber and One Direction have temporarily resided here. If that does not sway your decision in a positive way then all you need to see is some photographic evidence of the aesthetics of this place. It is extremely high class and definitely on the more expensive side of things. The hotel also hosts the well-known restaurant Eight which is a seafood lovers dream. The public are also welcome to have high-tea here which all makes for an extremely classy outing. Best put on your best fake British accent to fit in here!"

Their book selection is inspired and very educational, and for budding vege and herb growers they have a wonderful collection of tools and great advice."

"It’s impossible for me to leave Geoff’s Emporium empty-handed. There’s such a fantastic assortment of bits and bobs… They stock the basics for pretty much any sewing/arts/crafts project, but if you’re looking for something unusual or niche, they probably have that too. There’s even a fancy dress section. And everything is super inexpensive… I walked out with a huge bag of supplies, having spent only $17.10. Awesome."

"It’s just like a little old library with lots of interesting books rather than just the over advertised ones. Great speciality books & music section, the staff are brilliant AND they have a cat!"
"As I’m still very much a child at heart, my favourite part of Time Out is the children’s section at the back. They have so many beautifully illustrated children’s books that make me wish I had friends with kids to buy them all for. The staff are really nice AND there’s a cat - what’s not to love?"

"From the first time I came in here, to consultation, to finally getting inked, these guys were legendary. So welcoming and awesomely cool, the team at Mai Tattoo aren't those cliquey tattoo artists who judge you for that tramp stamp you've been eking to get since you turned 18... hahaha but really, they are so kind. Rocky was incredibly polite and helpful in setting me up with the right artist, and Ray (my tattoo artist) was amazing! Straight away in consultation I felt really confident that I was being listened to, as well as having my ideas seriously considered. Ray was on the same page as I am in that a tattoo is not just a work of art that you choose but that your artist has to put a little of themselves into - that's why you choose them carefully, and I was really lucky with mine that the first one I found was perfect. Having the tattoo done was easy breezy (yeah, even with 2 hours of shading on my ankle bone: mildly painful) and I was really encouraged by all the crew popping by to compliment and support. Aftercare was all taken care of and Ray didn't even charge me for 45mins of work - he quoted 2hrs so 2hrs he charged for, and I really respect that. He even offered for free touch ups which is such an awesome venture - no having to worry about the 'next morning' when you start seeing those little imperfections... but really, on my ink, there are none of those. Super happy with the result, something I will wear with pride and have for life."

"I love Grab One. Especially when they have amazing deals on Panda Onesies that my friends and I can get in on together! When my Panda suit arrived I literally did not take it off for four days - that's how excited I was about it. It's so warm and snuggly! Thank you Grab One!! "
"I have pretty much sorted all of my Xmas presents with a huge help to checking grab one each day!! Incl a s/s Wok, glass tumblers, insulated beach bags, beach wrap dress, remote control kids shark toy, Fcuk denim shorts, bee venom masks all at amaze deals!! And I’m hoping I get the kite surfing lessons for my very own present next time it comes up!!!"
" First and Last in terms of customer service and fulfilment of their deals and such. Will go to extra lengths to make sure that the product that they are advertising is legit and they wont have any issues from the business that they are hosting it for. SOME discount online stores MIGHT be cheaper or look better BUT grabone is the only one you can really trust when push comes to shove!!!! BUY HERE!!!"

"If you are looking for a guitar teacher you will tick all the right boxes with Damon Winter. A highly experienced musician but most importantly an expert at teaching. I have sat in on many of Damons sessions with my teenage daughter and have noticed that he is always consistent with his carefully chosen way of explaining all stuff musical. He is encouraging, patient and when the pupil doesn't get it quite right he says so in the nicest possible way. Damon sets high standards and if you dont beleive me come to one the six monthly concerts where all the pupils get the chance to perform to an audience of adoring parents, friends and family. It will make your heart go bumpity bump with pride."
" My daughter began guitar lessons with Damon (Mr Winter to his younger students) when she had just turned 8. She had previously attended group lessons at her school for one term but we were looking for a more individual approach. After only two terms, my daughter had gained the confidence to enter her school talent show with a solo performance of "Stay Stay Stay" (guitar and singing) by Taylor Swift. She was extremely nervous but utterly determined and ended up being 7 finalists performing on stage in front of 1,000 people. She didn't win, but she was great and she very much enjoyed the experience and had fun - something that the Modern School of Guitar very much encourages. Damon is excellent with his students - patient but firm and encouraging. His communication and professionalism with me as a parent is fantastic. My daughter is looking forward to many more lessons with the Modern School of Guitar and I would not (and do not!) hesitate to recommend Damon to others looking to learn guitar or extend their musical repertoire."
" Our seven year old daughter recently started lessons with Damon. From our first point of contact Damon was very professional and extremely helpful in assisting us to buy what we needed (without overspending!) to begin our daughter's musical journey. Damon takes particular care to choose songs our daughter likes and frequently asks for feedback which he is receptive to, Our daughter really enjoys her weekly lessons and we are enjoying seeing and hearing the progress she is making."
