A little about us
For Yael Shochat, it was her passion to create food that nourishes, nurtures and brightens peoples lives which led her to open Ima Cuisine on central Auckland's Fort Street.
Meaning "mother" in Hebrew, at Ima's you'll find an experience that is less a formal restaurant, more a welcoming and hearty family-style meal. Top-quality ingredients are used to create the Mediterranean-influenced menu that's designed for sharing. Select a main course and opt for the five side dishes for a delicious feast of contrasting tastes, textures and colours.

Absolutely adore this place, the food is both nutritious and divine, it's a rare species in a world of commoners.
Dining at Ima is always such a warm and welcoming experience. The last time we went here for dinner, we were seated by the kitchen and Yael herself fussed over us all night! The food is delicious, fresh and tastes lovingly home-cooked. Definitely spring for the five sides - so good!
