So here is Thames offering , Heading North on the Western side of the town head up Queens Street State Highway 25 . When you pass Richmond Street on your right look to the left and you will see Danby Field Car Park .[ view www.park-sleep.co.nz ]. Head up to the round about return the way you came and make a right into the parking lot .At the far end the council has designated two spaces on a first come first served bases . Maximum stay two nights . My own policy is , not to stay in places like this Thursday Friday or Saturday nights .

Not very generous when you consider the trade that campervans and motor homes bring to this some what dull town . The camper van motorhome and RV movements through this town annually would run into thousands of vehicles year round .

Heading out to the Kauranga Valley , a conservation park-lot in the middle of the Coromandel Ranges .Wonderful bush scenery and quick flowing creeks and rivers .
