motorhomes and campervans parked up at Point Erin Park Shelly Beach Road Auckland Park-Sleep

Over night  park spots will become used more often when the Takapuna Motorcamp is closed in April .

Parking over night in vehicles that are self contained is legal , but restrictions apply when the swimming pool is open in the summer time and during special events .To compensate for the closure of the park there will have to be a large increase in the number of these locations available because 15,000 vehicle park nights will have to be catered for possibly 20,000 and increasing dramatically as  the  aging population increases and hits the road in their campervans and motorhomes .

Rugby World Cup over night park spots and camping grounds were closed as soon as the cup events ended .
