"What a fun place to go with friends, sit on the lawn on a beanbag and enjoy a rosé and a cheese platter. A great mix of ages and a really happy vibe "
"They have just done up their winebar and tasting room, if you want to be impressed by a true luxurious experience and a million dollar view in the sun, this is the spot. Hey, fly in on a chopper if you want - it will land on the front lawn."
" When you enter the grounds of Cable Bay - make doubly sure its summers day preferably - you will be blessed with one of the most breath taking views you might see in the whole of Waiheke...maybe as bold as to say the whole of the north island. It almost sucks you in like tractor beam on the starship enterprise disabling you from looking in any other direction until your sitting down in the gardens glaring at it with a nice bottle of wine in hand, and platter of nibbles. Once you've finally managed to pry yourself from it then the restaurant awaits. With an assortment of home made wines and local wines you wont run out of drink, and the quality of the food also matches this. Best to visit for a dinner date, celebration, work get together, some casual summer lounging, with friends....ok maybe its just best to visit."

"One of the most beautiful dining settings in the country, Mudbrick has a lot to offer! The food is exquisite. Unusual combinations, flavours you don’t usually get to try and all of it presented beautifully, the ever evolving menu will make choosing from all the incredible sounding options very difficult! The restaurant is pricey, but the wine is excellent and they do have a good range of prices for that. Wine tastings are not very expensive either and you get to try a broad range while having them talked through with you by one of the wine-passionate and super friendly sommeliers. I would recommend ordering bread to go with the wine tasting. It comes with olive oil and chopped fresh rosemary. It is really yummy and will be delivered to the tasting room for you. They are really helpful with any vegetarian queries too. My brother got married there (well civil partnership, technically) and they were so helpful. They gave endless options and nothing was a problem or hassle. They recommended a great DJ, photographer and cake-maker, all of which were great options. And the vegetarian options for the wedding were superb. I had no cause to be jealous of the thought put into the non-vege cuisine, as my food was amazing! The views over picturesque Waiheke Island are truly breath-taking. I always leave Mudbrick feeling relaxed, treated and like an absolute lush! Lovely."
218 Te Whau Drive, Waiheke Island, Auckland
"I'd been to Te Whau to sample the wines and take in the most beautiful view of Auckland, but friends who had been to Te Whau to eat were insistent that we MUST try the sticky date pudding. At 11.30 am eating dessert would usually be strange, but this was a welcome exception to the rules. Simply out of this world, the best sticky date I have ever had!"
" Te Whau is definitely my favourite spot on Waiheke. It never disappoints with its amazing views across to Auckland as well as it's beautifully crafted meals. I can't wait to go back this summer."
124 Ocean View Road, Oneroa, Auckland 1081
"When at the Oyster Inn, you must order the Tarakihi Sliders and you must of course order some oysters! They had a large selection of different oysters."
" We had a business lunch with our Brand Designer Eduardo from C6. I had read about The Oyster Inn business and was keen to try it out. As well as pizzas I love to bake bread, and your seeded bread that I was informed you made on site is devine. But then it would have to be to match the food, service and view. Am not sure if we did much business but we certainly enjoyed your hospitality and food."
Palm Road, Palm Beach, Auckland 1081
"Little Palm Beach is just a glorious piece of NZ. Little Palm Beach also has the nick name Nudie Beach,, so if your easily offended, Little Palm is not for you "
" Ahhhhhh it aches to write this and no longer be at Palm Beach When choosing one of the many beaches on Waiheke, this beach without a doubt is one of the best. Lovely shallow water and white sandy beach TAKE- ME-BACK "
82 Onetangi Road, Onetangi, Waiheke Island 1971
"The perfect place to take an overseas visitor, we tried our hand at archery amongst the vines before heading to the cafe for a beer tasting (There’s also clay bird shooting and winetasting). The staff are easygoing and friendly- definitely worth a visit."
"Catch a ferry out to Waiheke for a day of wine, beer and cider tasting in the sun. Wild on Waiheke offers reasonably priced tasting plates as well as great snack fare. If you get bored of wine-tasting (yeah right) they also offer activities like a giant chess board and archery range. There’s nothing better than a boozy Sunday lunch in a beautiful, island setting!"
"Like the graphics and photographs , have used most of the van companies and will look forward to being on the road ."
" From our very first contact with '' Beyond The Highway Australia '' our agent Sarah was so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and she helped us find the the best Camper Van at the best price for us. We looked at many other companies but chose '' Beyond The Highway Australia'' and were pleased we did as all went to plan when we arrived in Australia. We will definitely use '' Beyond The Highway Australia'' next time. John & Bobbie Harmsworth, Shropshire, England."

"Wow my first time to Casita Miro and this place really lives up to the hype. Absolutely stunning surroundings and I have never in NZ had more authentic Spanish tappas "
1/149 Ocean View Road, Big Oneroa, Auckland
"I absolutely love this place. Amazing views over Waiheke’s Oneroa Beach, creative and delicious brunch options, perfect macarons (my fave), and a yummy rhubarb shake to finish things off equals perfection."
Beach Parade, Waiheke Island, Auckland 1081
"Waiheke has many fabulous beaches, I think Oneroa would have to be in the top 3 with the access to all the boutiques and cafes just a stones throw from the sand, it really does have it all "
"Nothing better than having all five of your senses assaulted with sizzling barbecues down at the beach, tucking into fresh salads, sipping on Island sauvignon blanc, spend hours languishing in aqua water, playing cricket with the kids on the beach. Oh, Summer, hurry along, will ya?"

"As far as locations go they don't come much better than this! However that can also be a downside when the buses drop off heaps of hungry tourists!! Avoid these busy times and it is beautiful, peaceful and relaxed friendly service. The food looks good but we only had beer when we visited and sat in the outside area dreaming...."
" Nice spot for a berr outside, especially to watch the day fade into night listening to the sound of the surf. Bring a jumper, there's often a chilly wind at sunset. They serve food, better than the usual pub food but unfortunately with Waiheke's over-inflated prices - we're not all rich tourists. it's the only pub for miles so it gets a little unpleasant sometimes... Go for the early evening slot."
Oceanview Road, Waiheke Island, Auckland 1081
"I went over with my family and had a great time, everyone we talked to was friendly and we had a wonderful walk around the sculptures, I think my favorite must have been the swings :) definitely one of my must dos!!!"
" The New York Times has touted New Zealand’s Waiheke Island and it’s iconic Sculpture on the Gulf exhibition as one of the ‘must do’s for 2013 (seen here as no.35). 30 large-scale new sculptures have been unveiled along the Matiatia Bay headland, with the stunning Hauraki Gulf as its backdrop. Works have been created by some of New Zealand’s top established and emerging artists. The event is open daily from 8.30am from 25 January to 17 February 2013. It is free to walk the track, but donations are encouraged - Headland Sculpture on the Gulf relies completely on sponsorship, grants and donations."

"Peacock Sky is located in the middle of Waiheke, a short walk from the nearest bus stop. The staff are super friendly and they have a great paired wine tasting which makes for a perfect first date. Make sure to give Sky, the canine, a big cuddle."
